She's Here!!!!

Born October 30th at 9:25 AM. She was 8 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 inches long!!! BIG BABY!!! She was worth the wait! These are just a few pics...we are always looking for the perfect Kodak moments but they are hard to keep track of since she looks so different each day! Everyone is doing well and recovering well. 39 Weeks - The End Is Here

I had my final doctor's appointment this morning. That's right - final appointment! My blood pressure is still a tad high but nothing to worry over at this point. In order to get things going more "naturally" the doctor did something called stripping your membranes. Yeah, let me tell you - this was LOADS of fun! This is supposed to naturally send me into labor this week. Should I not go into labor on my own this week, I will be scheduled to deliver next Monday - Wednesday. The doctor's office should call later today and let me know when the hospital can fit me in next week. Again, that is ONLY if what she did today doesn't make me go on my own this week which is the goal. So for now, this should be my final blog entry until Madison is here :) I'll be sure to call everyone (or have someone call) when she finally arrives! The wait is over! Wish me tons of luck! LOL I'm sure I'm going to need it!

38 Weeks

38 Weeks...can you believe it?!?! I'm still pregnant! Seems like we are going full term with this one! Woohoo! I'm super pumped about this! I had my doctor's appointment today and although I still have high blood pressure concerns and I'm still on bed rest, everything else is checking out fine. I've not dilated anymore since my last visit but she said progress is being made and that she would see me next week! FUN! So, hopefully we'll have more news next week. It's getting harder and harder to wait for her to get here!! I'm very excited to finally meet her!

37 Weeks

Good news! From this point forward, Madison is considered full-term. I can deliver any time between now and my due date! I had my doctor's appointment Tuesday and the baby is doing great and everything she needs to be doing. I've already started dilating so for all of you who guessed me past my due date, odds are it will be before then but you never know, nature can be cruel :) LOL
My doctor has put me on bed rest starting from now till delivery due to high blood pressure as well as a risk of having preeclampsia or toxemia. I have my weekly appointment next Tuesday and if all is going well, then we will continue the wait for Madison to arrive :) If things with my condition are not improving then she could be here before next weekend! Wow - that would be strange! Either way, the end is near, we are ready and excited for whenever she decides to make her arrival and I promise to update you all - unless of course I'm in the hospital!!!!

Denver vs. San Diego

Well, it happens twice a year! Both times last year San Diego beat Denver. Seems the trend continues! Not sure what was going on with Denver yesterday but San Diego won 41 to 3!! Ouch! Lucky for me, my husband is still talking to me :) I'm not expecting the same results later this year when we play them again!

A New Baby!!!

At approx. 7:45 PM last night, I got a new baby :) A pearl white 2008 Nissan Altima SE and she's FAB-U-LOUS!!!! The best part (besides how incredibly pretty she is) is that it was totally painless to get her!!! Chip and my parents worked so hard to get me this car for days!! Now, I realize it's technically for the new baby to make sure Miss Madison is "safe" but since she's not here yet, I'm just going to pretend it's for ME :D!!!! I took pictures last night but they do her no justice. I'll be sure to take some this weekend and update the blog!

This One's For D

This one is for Daron since I'm sure he thought no one noticed!!! :) Congratulations to the Raiders who wiped the floor with Miami 35 to 17! Not to mention, this is the 2nd week in a row they have won!!! Very impressive! (We are all clapping for you D). New England is scheduled to play the Bengals tonight - they should do well so we'll keep our fingers crossed for Denise. The rest of us however had a fairly embarrassing weekend! Kansas City beat my precious Chargers 30 to 16. They are already insulting the talents of the amazing LT. He's still on his game and is a great player - this is what happens when the whole team depends on your talent! The rest of the Chargers need to step it up a bit! At this rate, we will not be making it to the play-offs. The Colts beat the Broncos 38 to 20 - lucky for Chip they actually showed this game on TV for him to view - nice of them eh??? The Texans had an bad slip back to what seemed to be the Carr days losing to Atlanta 16 to 26 - Ouch! Over all, they still look better then last year. Anyway, keeping up with everyone's games will be easier since we've joined the 20th century and finally got the NFL ticket!! Woohoo! We are excited. Should be installed just in time for next weekends games! Good luck to everyone and again - Congrats D!!!

36 Weeks

9 Months....I made it. I have 4 weeks left until my due date. On one hand, I'm very ready to just have a body back that can bend and stretch and do things like normal. Then I start thinking about how she has to get here (labor) and that doesn't really sound fun either. This is a no win situation :) I want and need her out and there is only one way for that to happen so ready or not, I'm going to have to suck it up and hope it all goes well. It's hard to believe that next month there will be 3 in our family instead of 2. It's been Chip and I for so long and although I'm ready and excited for our new adventure we're getting ready to start, a part of me will miss it just being "us". The good news is that I married a great man and my best friend who has proven to me on more then one occasion the type of person he is and the father I know he'll be. I have my doctor's appointment next week then I'll start going every week. On my weekly visits, I should be told of any progress I'm making towards labor. I've been having braxton hicks contractions as I'm supposed too so I'm hoping something is going on down there that is a sign of this ending! :) I feel as though I've been pregnant forever. I should have more of an update next week after my appointment! :)

Happy Birthday Trace!

Happy Birthday to Chip's nephew (and mine) Trace! It's his birthday today! He's 6 and it's hard to believe how fast time flies!

It's all ours....again!!!

That's right! We FINALLY closed on the refinance of the house! WooHoo! Most you of don't know all the drama behind this and it's way too much to get in too but we couldn't be happier that we are finally done with refinancing the house and it's ours....again....for another 30 years! This was a painful, painful process! Lucky for us, Chip's parents knew someone who got us done (and a better deal) in a week! I'm so grateful to be putting this behind us!!!

35 Weeks

35 down - 5 to go and a labor scare this weekend! This is going to be a long month for me I think! After receiving fluids from the emergency room this weekend, I'm still retaining a lot of water and need to keep drinking more and rest as much as possible. Everything with the baby and my weight is checking out fine and is on schedule. I had my doctor's appointment this morning and all seems to be well. Although I'm grateful everything is fine, and I am grateful, I'm very exhausted and worn out by this pregnancy. It's really taking it's toll on me and I'm very ready for it to be over!!!!

Test Run

Ok, so Saturday night (around 11:30 pm) Chip had to take me to the emergency room (Southwest Memorial no less) because I was having contractions and they wouldn't stop. Yeah, let me tell you - this was FUN for everyone! After arriving at the hospital (which Chip and I both hate) we went in through the emergency room and were checked in to Labor & Delivery. After 4 (YES 4!!!!) tries, they finally were able to get me started on an IV for fluids. Seems I was dehydrated which was causing the contractions. I was released early Sunday morning and was told to rest Sunday and Monday. Chip and I did take advantage of our "test run" and got to tour and see a delivery room while there. We still hope to deliver at Methodist Hospital but at this point, we at least know what to do in case we have to go to Southwest! We were both grateful that all checked out to be ok and it was just a scare! We were exhausted heading home but Chip was great and in control the whole time! I would not of been able to do it without him!!!

Flush Unerfusser

Flush Unerfusser.....September 2006 - September 2007. Sad news to report, Saturday evening, Flush passed away due to NATURAL causes. This is by far the longest surviving fish I've ever owned and he will be missed.

Wood Floors

Well, we can't have them installed yet (cause we can't afford too!) but we did purchase these floors to put in our living room, dining room and family room! We got a great deal on them and I'm excited to see what they look like when it's all done!

Creaping Up The Hill

Well as of Sunday, I'm "officially" 30 :) I'm starting my slow walk up the hill of age! I had a great and relaxing day and don't feel bad at all about my new age! In fact, I'm looking at it as a chance to correct anything I did wrong in my 20's! LOL

Football Madness!

What a day for football yesterday!!! Let's start with Daron....Oakland decided after the 2nd Quarter to step it up and give the Broncos quite a challenge! They tied the game 20 to 20 and went into overtime...On a legal but "questionable" tactic, the 2nd kick hit the goal post and gave Denver the opening they needed to win the game!!! Chip was thrilled although I could hear things breaking from the Andrew's house all the way from Kanab! :) Very close but great game! Now, a game that was not so close was the San Diego Chargers being KILLED by New England! Seems the team stepped out on the field with something to prove and they did....all over my little Chargers! By the 3rd Quarter I'd had enough of the slaughter and decided to flip the channel :) The Texans are doing fantastic! We actually look like we have not only a team, but perhaps even a good team! I'm sure Carr was thrilled to see the Texans in action from the sidelines :)

A Gold Star

I had my doctor's appointment this morning and everything looks great! In fact, I've gained less weight then I should of now (I wish they would make up their minds!!! LOL) and I am measuring at a perfect 33 weeks which is exactly where I'm at! So, today I get a Gold Star for being a good girl :) I'm expected back in 2 more weeks and we'll just have to see how happy she is on that visit! We are all registered at both hospitals and I am very much looking forward to my 30th Birthday this weekend!!! I'm excited to turn 30 but have requested to Chip that my party be held AFTER the baby is born!!! That way, I can really celebrate! I see no point in having a party for me that I have to sit back and watch everyone else enjoy!!! LOL Anyway, on the baby front, all is well! Not too much longer and she should be here!!!

Lucky Duckies :)

Yesterday was sort of hard to juggle since almost every one's teams played and at the same time! The good news is, that the Texans, New England, Denver and San Diego all won their games! Congrats to everyone! The only loss I know of was Oakland :(

Moment of silence.....

I think we should all have a moment of silence for Kirk.....his team was murdered last night by the Colts 41-10. Brutal death. (silence.............................) Ok! Moving on! Football season "officially" started last night and I'm ready for this weekend! Last night was not a good night for Kirk. I'm happy I left at half time as I'm sure things got ugly :) Perhaps Daron can lend a few kind words of encouragement....after all, The Raiders know this pain well :D

Where Does Your Team Fit???

The NFL released the rankings of all the teams this year and this is how we did! With the exception of Daron (Sorry D) we all placed really well! I'm excited to see how we will all do this year! Kirk's team starts off the season with a game tomorrow night!
Patriots 2nd, CHARGERS 3rd, Saints 4th, Broncos 7th, Texans 25th and Raiders 32nd.

I can just hear Denise now...smiling and thinking that her 2nd place title means something. It doesn't. This is a whole new year and no one is that far behind her. The Patriots have had a good run but I don't see this being their year :) She's very anxious and confident that the Patriots are going to stomp all over my Chargers on September 16th and make me cry on my 30th Birthday. Whatever the outcome of that game, I fully stand behind my team!! Not to mention, it's usually the big talkers who end up embarrassed in the end :)

32 Weeks

32 down....8 more to go!!! Unless of course I'm late (which is what my mother is counting on - she wants her to be born on the 7th.) Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was busy and not near long enough! We got the chance to visit with Corey & Ellie which was nice as they were down visiting. Mostly, we ran some errands...one of which was touring the hospital which I hope to deliver - Methodist SugarLand. The hospital is nice and closer then my other option. Chip and I had the privilege of seeing a birthing room...we both just sort of stood there, still. Sort of made my stomach hurt thinking of what was to come and knowing there is no other way to get her out! On one hand you are so ready for it to be over and to wear clothes that don't have to stretch! Then you start thinking about how she has to get here....it's really a toss up! Oh! Another fantastic thing started this weekend! I started having braxton hicks contractions! Wee! Yes these are super fun! See, seems you get to experience "pre-labor" before labor! I'm telling you! This thing has been a joy ride from the start and seems to just keep getting better! LOL! My next doctor's appointment is on the 11th and I'm praying to the pregnancy gods that I don't gain not one little pound between now and then :D Yeah, good luck to me!

We got final word from Cortney this morning and Kindall won 2 Bronze metals and 1 silver metal in Germany! I don't think any of us can wipe the smiles off our faces! She worked very hard and we are all very, very impressed with her huge accomplishments!

Apples and Oranges? Or is it....Cakes and Pies?

For those of you sweet enough to LIE, LIE, LIE to me about how "fantastic" I'm looking 30 lbs heavier I just want to remind you that this was me....1 year ago on my 29th birthday. My 30th birthday is coming up in 17 days (eeek!) and this is currently what I look like! SO! Clearly, it's more like I've been eating cakes and pies then apples and oranges :) Ugh, I'm feeling ill now! The worst part is that I still have several more weeks and pounds to go! What a difference a year can make!

Doctor's Visit Update

I had my doctor's visit today and everything is checking out fine. Maddie went from measuring under to now measuring over by almost a week. Funny how that works huh!?!? My doctor however did not seem to find it so amusing :) So, seems I have to watch what I put in my mouth from this point forward :) Fun time is over! LOL My next appointment is scheduled for 2 weeks from now (day after we refinance the house) so I'm hoping not to gain too much more between now and then as I don't want to get yelled at by her from now till delivery :) Speaking of delivery, I've chosen the Methodist Hospital SugarLand and was informed that I have to register at Memorial Hermann Southwest as well since Methodist sometimes is full. More fantastic news! If Methodist does not take me, I will be forced to going to the hospital furthest from our house which will be upsetting. Not to mention, I really dislike that hospital. So, we shall see. As of now, I'm registered with Memorial Hermann Southwest as my back up and will need to go this weekend to register at Methodist so keep your fingers and toes crossed that they have room for me :) Today was the least fun doctor's visit so far...I'd almost rather have blood taken!

Kindall wins Bronze!!!

Cortney got a call from Kindall this morning (at 3:00 am!!) unfortunately, she didn't hear the phone ring so she didn't get the good news in person :( She had her first competition in Germany and won Bronze! This is so exciting! She's doing so well as is the whole team! She has one more competition today (fighting) which she was a little nervous about but her dad and everyone here has reassured her that this is her strong event and she's going to do great no matter what! She's made it this far and that is huge!!! We should hear more later today or tomorrow on how she did! We all have our fingers crossed and are so proud of her!

Maddie's Shower

Big thank you to my sister and mom for the beautiful shower Sunday at Corelli's! Everything from the cake, flowers, food and games was perfect! I'm so grateful to everyone who came! I had a fantastic time with all of you and I can't wait to get together again soon! Chip and I are having a great time going through all the wonderful goodies. Madison is going to be one of the most spoiled little girls! We've already assembled the high chair and swing :) I'm sure by next weekend our house will end up looking like a daycare!

30 Week Update

That means I have roughly around 9 weeks left to go!!! Oh please, please make it go by fast! I feel as if I've been pregnant for eternity!!! Lots going on this week - we are right in the middle of refinancing the house. I can't believe we've already been there 2 years! The good news is that our appraisal came back in and we've already gained roughly around 30,000 more then what we paid for the house! That's fantastic! I was very happy to hear that. Now, all of you would of been laughing had you seen me flying around the house trying to make sure everything was in tip top shape! I don't think I've moved like that in 6 months. No real exciting pregnancy updates. As you can tell from my shower pictures, I'm getting larger and trying to get used to all the new strange things that happen to you in your final trimester. The hardest things to get used too at this point is the lack of sleep (you are just too big, too hot, and peeing every 10 min) it's impossible to get any rest! I'm sure I should just get used to this feeling for when the baby arrives and then the kicking! Seems our little one has sprouted longer legs and less room in my stomach so she's now fully capable of kicking me under my ribs (you are never prepared for this pain when it happens) and for sitting on top of my lungs (or so it feels) and cutting off my air supply! The good news is at this point, you are so focused on the end result that it almost seems that days turn to weeks and weeks to months and before you know it, she'll be here. I have my final shower this Sunday which I'm really looking forward too! I'll be sure to get updates on here as soon as possible!

Houston! We've Found Daycare! :)

WooHoo! We have found daycare and what a relief! I've FINALLY got Maddie registered somewhere starting in January :) It's this great place and the best part is that my old boss is now the owner of the facility!!! One more thing off the checklist! Hey! I might be better at this whole Mommy business then I originally thought.....

A Family Affair

The Unerfusser side of the family threw me a beautiful shower on Sunday. It was located at my in-laws loft downtown. Kim had gone through a lot of trouble to make sure we had plenty of fancy and tasty treats to snack on and the most adorable cake! She found a dragonfly with a purple background (to match our little Maddie's room) and had it scanned to a cake! Very cute! The cake is so good but we are all having a hard time cutting into it. Well, everyone but me :) I fully intend on making sure not one drop goes to waste!!! We played games, visited and we got to spend time with Chip's nephew Caleb who's around 5 weeks and SOOOO cute!! With a room full of women who are already mom's, we got a ton of useful stuff! I'm so thankful everyone can remember things us without children never think of! From diapers, to bottles, to travel lotions, hampers, diaper bags, strollers and literally, everything else in between I think we are all set and ready to go for her arrival!

Work Baby Shower

The people at work were kind enough to throw me a baby shower. It's my first one so I was very excited when I found out :) The people I work with have gone above and beyond to make sure I have been pampered and spoiled my whole pregnancy :) I don't think I've done one hard thing since they all found out! They all make sure I have plenty to eat and am getting my water intake! I've barely lifted a finger. I pretty much just have to show up, work at my desk, eat and the rest they take care of! The shower turned out really cute and I got a ton of great things! Once again, they all went way above and beyond. It's nice to work with such a great group of people who care enough to do such a nice thing.

29 Weeks

29 weeks along (approx. 7.5 months) and anywhere between 8 to 10 weeks to go before baby is here! All is going well so far. I was in a minor car accident this morning which gave me a little scare as far as the baby was concerned but everything is ok. She's moving around a lot still and the doctor has assured me I have no reasons to worry at this point. I'm sure she's upset...she's probably thinking...what the heck lady!!! She seems to be kicking a little harder then normal today but that's ok, I'll take the punishment if she's ok :) Nothing new to really report this week. I still have about a week and half till my next doctor's appointment then I'll start going every 2 weeks. I have 3 classes coming up in the next few weeks on everything from breastfeeding to taking care of an infant. My favorite of course is that my Lamaze/labor class is on my 30th birthday! What a way to celebrate! The third trimester has proved to be similar to the first so far. Seems you go back to being a little emotional and the biggest change is the rate you grow. It's really unbelievable.

28 Weeks

Ahhh, 28 weeks....that means I have roughly 12 weeks left to go and the baby should be here! Weeeeee! This makes me very excited. On another note, I'm also supposed to gain around another 11 lbs this trimester (I have NO idea where that is going to go or fit at this point) but I'm sure it will find somewhere :) You can always have a bigger gut, butt or thighs :) Ummmm LOVE pregnancy! I'm looking forward to my baby shower this week and have been feeling pretty good so far. All the emotional ups and downs you seem to have in your first trimester seem to be coming back this trimester. (Poor Chip) I think in the beginning it's the shock of your pregnant and your third trimester it's the shock that the baby will be here soon. It's exciting and nerve racking all at the same time but I'm ready for the end result :) Chip and I are not patient people so this has been a very, very long wait! On a good note, I believe we've accomplished a lot to this point. The nursery is finished, I have a class this week, we have baby showers this month and have possibly found a daycare! All in all, we've made more progress to becoming parents.

Pre-Season Bust

So Seattle wiped the floor with San Diego yesterday in their first pre-season game. LT doesn't participate in pre-season games by choice (with last year's record, who's gonna argue with the man!) and again, it is only a pre-season game.....I still back my team 100% and I think we're going to go all the way this year!

Nursery

After weeks of getting stuff together and painting, Chip and my parents finished the nursery for me in one day. It was a lot of hard work and I'm so grateful. We really love it and think it turned out so precious!

It's the perfect little girl's room - you'll have to see it in person to really appreciate all that went into it!

27 Weeks

I've officially entered the home stretch...the last trimester and there is finally some sort of end in sight! Up till this point, I've had a fairly uneventful pregnancy. The usual unpleasantness of the growing, the mood swings, etc. but nothing horrible to report which is a blessing. I'm thrilled to know that our neighbor across the street just had a little girl (9 lbs 4 oz - say it with me people...OUCH!) and that I have 2 friends who are pregnant as well. It's very exciting to think they could all be friends someday. For the most part, I feel the baby move a lot and am just a little tired due to low thyroid and being a little anemic. Those are both very easy issues to fix. I passed my glucose test with flying colors and am going back for my next appointment on the 28th of this month. I'm having my baby shower's within the next few weeks and I hope to be able to put tons of cute pictures up from them! Chip is busy trying to finish painting the baby's room so that he can turn me loose to start decorating! He's done a really good job thus far...you know Chip, he loves to make sure everything is just "so" :) I'm sure by the time he's done, it will be the most even and level baby's room you have ever seen!

Thank you for every one's concern regarding Jackie :) He came through surgery fine and is back at home resting and being spoiled. He's not real thrilled with us these days but better to have him back a little grouchy then not at all!!! We should get his test results back sometime next week I hope!

August Update

August is going to be a busy, busy month for me, Chip, baby U and the rest of the gang :) Some of you may not know that Jack (our Boxer aka Bubba) is going in for surgery Friday to remove a possible cancerous tumor from his gums/jaw. Boxers are prone to this type of cancer so please keep him in your prayers :) We are hoping for a speedy recovery and have him back to his old, sweet self in no time! Football also starts Sunday (GO Chargers!!!) and this weekend I'm hoping that we can really start putting together the nursery! Chip has done a great job painting (it turned out to be a bigger job then we thought) and now it's just up to me and my parents to shop and decorate!!! (This should not be an issue) August is also my month to find a daycare and start all my mommy classes :) Just to humor most of you, you will find it funny to know that I have to take a labor & delivery class on my 30th birthday! Can you believe it! What a way to turn the big 3-0....and I mean "big" literally!!! (laughing) As for my body update...well I'm growing as expected! In fact, my doctor was thrilled that I am measuring DOUBLE my size from last visit. I'll never understand why doctors get so excited about that sort of growth but whatever....most of you will be seeing me soon - I sort of look like a Buddha. Short & round :) I'll be having baby showers this month as well so I'm very excited about that. Since I have entered my 3rd (and last trimester) Can I get an AMEN!!! we (mainly me I'm sure) are "officially" on baby count down! As of today, we have 92 days till baby U's arrival!!! She's doing great as of her last visit. She's no longer under weight and is measuring right on schedule. She's VERY active - I'm sure a sign of things to come! She's constantly moving and kicking! Quite hard actually! She especially thinks she's being funny when she gets to kicking high up by my ribs or keeping me up ALL night long. Apparently, she has her father's sense of humor! All in all, it should prove to be a busy and exciting month!

Mommy Time....

Chip and I got this really cute swing we registered for :) It swings back and forth and side to side but the best part is that it plays up to 13 songs and has a light at the top that projects stars all over the room. I'm convinced that this is how I will be able to shower each day so THANK YOU!!!

Pretty Boy...

Believe it or not! I actually have something to report about other then my baby! I know! Hold on to your nickers!
A few months ago my parents adopted a new brother for me and my siblings :) My dad found him in a parking lot in Corpus Christi while working and just couldn't help but bring him home...my mother even agreed to it! So, there they were, all 3 of them in the car together coming back to Houston. My parents have gone through a lot of trouble to make my new brother comfortable...he has a wonderful mansion that he can live in, tons of food (he's gained A LOT of weight since joining our family...but, to be polite we aren't mentioning it to him) and tons of love. My mom is even cool enough to let him fly openly around the house!!!
At the last family gathering, all of the family got together and we decided to name him Milton. So, I'm proud to announce to everyone my new brother Milton! He's fabulous and funny and of course, Soooooooooo Pretty!!!

Tis The Season....almost!!!

So, Football season is almost here - only 2 more weeks! August 4th officially kicks off Football Season! Woohoo! I'm so excited to watch the Chargers play this year and everyone else for that matter! For good sportsmanship purposes only, I gave Chip a baby "Broncos" blanket for him and his daughter to watch football in. I have faith that eventually, that blanket will belong to the dogs :) I will be up against all my friends this year except Kirk. San Diego never plays New Orleans. I play Denise (New England) once - on my 30th birthday! (I better win that game!) and I play Daron (Oakland) and Chip (Denver) twice!!!

Caleb Ruff

Chip and I finally were able to go see his new nephew, Caleb on Saturday. What a cutie pie this one is!!! Born the same day as Chip (July 12th) at 6:42 PM, weighing 8lbs. and 13.9 oz and is a lean 21 inches long :) Both he and Courtney are doing well and were scheduled to head home on Sunday. We were able to spend about an hour holding and starring at him. It's amazing what a little personality he has! He was very good - never cried once but was very squirmy and looking around everywhere. SO CUTE!!! As soon as we get pictures, I will be sure to update!

6 Month Update

I have been slacking on posting a pregnancy update :) It's funny how un-anxious you are to get in front of a camera when you actually start showing! I'm happy to report that I'm still growing (hourly) and should be nice and round by the end of this whole ordeal. At a respectable 24 weeks it's already becoming difficult to rush around as I used too; not to mention getting up and down off the couch seems to make you feel as though you have ran a mile! Crossing my legs is becoming less and less of an option as are my precious heels :) At the end of the day, I welcome the swelling in my hands and face and have noticed that my ankles seem to no longer have bones or any definition - more like my calf just merges with my foot :) My fingers like the rest of my body are getting larger by the moment making wearing my wedding ring almost impossible these days. I think it's fairly apparent to most people that you are at least intimate with someone so I'm not sure why pregnant women try to wear their rings for so long - maybe it's to prove that at some point in life, you were hot enough to marry...prior to looking like you ate shamoo. Ahhhhh the joys of pregnancy! The funny thing is what is to come. Right now, for the next few weeks I will still be in my second trimester which is affectionately referred to as the "babymoon". You have a cute bump, your not too big and unattractive, you still have energy and some range of motion. As of August, I will "officially" be in my 3rd trimester and for the women who have been there before me, they can not wait to fill you in on how much fun this part is! I'm getting better at "rolling" in and out of our bed and Chip is already on the look out for easy slip on shoes for those mornings he's not there to help me put them on. To most, this seems like a nice gesture but I'm pregnant...to me, I look at him as if he's insane. I'm having a tough time preparing for this stage. I keep flashing to the old "I've fallen and I can't get up commercial" in my mind. I have visions of me, beached like a whale on the tile of our kitchen floor, dogs going nuts, shoes no where to be found and me unable to get myself up. I just keep telling myself, 3 more months Sarah, 7 more paychecks and one really hellacious few days of labor and it will all be over! I know when my little girl is screaming "I hate you!" as I'm chasing her around the store with people starring that I will stop and think....yes, this was all worth it in the end :)
Ok so now that I have freaked some of you out, made another half chuckle like I'm joking and being silly and the rest of you who have already done this think....oh girl, just WAIT, I'm done updating and of course joking! (wink, wink) Everything is going as planned and all is well - you really can't ask for much more!

New Keys and Home Ownership Dreams!!!

The good news just doesn't stop today! (must be cause Chip was born today!) LOL Anyway, just heard from Chip's other sister, Cortney Ann that her and her husband KC have been given the clear to close next week on their very FIRST HOUSE!!! So exciting!!! The house is really nice and in Kingwood close to her daughter Kindall's school. We are so excited for them! Babies, houses and birthday's! What could be better! Congratulations to KC & Cort! Of course, I won't be helping you move cause I'm 6 months preggo but I'm very good at giving directions :) You can relax and have some ice cream w/me while the boys move everything in!

There is also another birthday to celebrate today!!! Chip's sister (Courtney Michelle) is having her baby boy today!!! 2 very special men on one very special day! How fun is that! Chip and his nephew will have the same birthday!

Germany or Bust :)

Kindall, Chip's niece has made the papers! We are so proud of her and wish her luck in Germany!!!

Kindall Taylor, 10, of Kingwood was named to the United States World Karate Association National Karate Team and selected to represent the United States at the 2007 WKA World Karate Championships in Karlsruhe, Germany, in August. Kindall started karate two years ago. She worked her way up from being a student, to being a member of the competition team and this year earning a spot on the world team. She is at her karate school every Monday through Saturday practicing and conditioning for her next tournament and learning from her other teammates. Kindall traveled with her team in April to Evansville, Ind., where she competed at the USA Team Trials and placed for a spot on the USA Team in sparring and wushu. Even though Kindall is still very new to the sport of karate, she has shown that with a lot of hard work, determination and a great attitude, you can accomplish great things at any age and level. Kindall is the daughter of Courtney Knight and Dan Taylor of Kingwood.
