Katy Perry

So although she is not always the most appropriate, Madison loves most of her songs and I love singing and dancing with Madison to them so this year, since Madison will be almost 7, I'm going to take her (and Chip against his will) to her first concert ever to see Katy Perry!!!
I'm so excited!!! I can already hear the gasps of moms! I'll be sure to bring ear plugs and cover her
eyes to anything too bad and we can always leave but I highly doubt we are going to want too! LOL

What's New!?!?

It's hard to believe it's been over 4 months since I've put anything on this blog :) So, what's new!?!? Lots going on with the Unerfusser clan as usual!

Chip and I are great! We are approaching our 11 year wedding anniversary this April. 11 years - I am looking forward to a long and happy life together! Like a fine wine, we just keep getting better :) By the time we hit our big 20 year anniversary, I think we'll have this whole "marriage" thing perfected!

We are STILL in the process of trying to sell our first home. We are listing with a new "power" agent on Monday and I'm hoping this will get the job done! We are looking to move close to my family in Greatwood hopefully right in time for Madison to start Kindergarten!
Selling a house has been a miserable experience but I'm hoping it will all work out in the end - always does right!?!?

Madison as I mentioned earlier is so big. I can't believe she will be 6 and going to Kindergarten this year. My how time flies! Every day she reminds me a little more of her dad and I. Although at times this is VERY frustrating, who knew kids were so fun! She's the light of our world and she knows it! She's smart, funny, extremely perceptive and has a strange talent for puzzles, song writing, singing and math! We jokingly call her "rain man" regarding the math. It's incredible!
Although her singing isn't always on point, I think the world should watch out! We could very well have the next little Taylor Swift on our hands :)

For those of you who don't know, Chip left his family shop and ventured out to a new job. He's been there about 3 months as the Shop Foreman over Fabrication. It's been a good move for him and he's doing what he does best! Being Chip! Not sure how long this new adventure will last but I think he's enjoying discovering where this will take him and of course, he's loving every second of our pending move!!!

I just had my 2 year anniversary at PwC - another WOW for me! Time flies when you are having fun! PwC has been my peace on so many levels! I've been blessed to finally work for a great company. It's been a very long and difficult road for me to get here but I made it - and I'm loving every minute of it! Late last year, I was appointed to serve on the Board of EWI - Executive Women International. Although it is a lot of my "free" time, I've made great friends and have done great things with this organization! Right now, I'm 100% at the top of my game thus far in the business world! My personal life is ALMOST there so I'm a very happy lady.

Jack and Bailey, our furry children are good - getting old. Both are approaching over 11 years. Jack "Bubba" has a hard time getting around these days. His health is declining. We are hoping for a few more amazing years together and do our best to make sure he's relaxed, comfortable and Madison isn't too rough with him daily :) Bailey, also 11, seems to be entering his prime in life! As expected with most little dogs - I think his best years are still ahead of him! Lucky us!

That's all for now - I will be sure to keep you all posted on the house and move should we finally sell :) Fingers crossed! I hope you each are well - you are never far from our hearts!

Trick or Treat :)

We rounded up the neighborhood crew and set out again! The kids were great - we had a big crowd of around 10 plus kids but hardly anyone was home or had the lights on!
The good news is since there weren't many trick or treaters, our kids made out with tons of candy and had a great time!

Madison's 5th Birthday

Oh my goodness - every year I say this and every year I mean it! This is going by way to fast for me! Needs to slow down please!!! :)
My super big girl is 5 years old!
We took her and some friends to Build-A-Bear and it turned out great! Happy Birthday Madison!
Your dad and I couldn't love anything more!

Pumpkin Patch

Tis the season! Every year we take Madison to Enchanted Gardens to pick out her pumpkins and have a fun day out with the family. This time is going by so fast! I savor these moments and wish they would last longer!

Disney & California Adventure

The day finally arrived!! After counting down since February, we were off to California and Disneyland! Madison was amazing on the plane ride and was such a trooper the entire trip. We had breakfast with the Princesses our first morning at Disney and that was the highlight of the entire trip. It almost could bring a tear to your eye to see her excitement to meet each and every one! The rest of our time at Disney was sprinkled with a few rides here and there and lots of waiting in line to meet the princesses we didn't meet at breakfast.

Hollywood was fun - lots to do and see so there are lots of pictures from the car. We stopped to see the stars on the sidewalk, the famous Chinese Theatre and of course, toured the wax museum to meet some stars :)

Then it was off to Beverly Hills to cross of a life long bucket list item - to shop on Rodeo Drive! Of course, I use the term "shop" very loosely! It was more like running into the cheapest store and buying the smallest thing I could find BUT it counts!

We spent dinner in Malibu at Paradise Cove and although the water was FREEZING - the view was worth the drive!

The next day was spent lounging, shopping and eating in Laguna Beach - this might be as close to paradise on earth in California as you come. It was the perfect way to end the trip!

All in all, it was a lifetime of memories for Madison and something I know she will never forget! I know we never will :)

Madison's friend, Emmerson moved into a fabulous new house in spring - it had been almost 6 months since these 2 had seen each other last! Luckily, we were able to go out for a visit - right before the 4th of July :) They are just too cute! We miss ya'll!
