Lemonade Day - May 3rd!!

Lemonade Day introduces kids to entrepreneurship! This city-wide event encourages kids to start a lemonade stand and sell their lemonade to the entire community on May 3rd. Easter at Sarah's Parent's (The Olson's)

We had a wonderful dinner and then it was off to find more Easter eggs! We had a very busy bunny this year!!! We got our Easter baskets filled with our summer swim gear for the pool this year! Can hardly wait!

Easter at Chip's Mom's (The Ivy's)

Going to Chip's mom & Hollis' house is like going to the petting zoo for Madison! She gets so excited to see the goats, chickens (even a baby pink one!), dogs, cows, you name it! They had all the family out there and a huge Easter egg hunt!

Good Friday

On Good Friday, Chip and I took Madison to the zoo in the afternoon. We love the zoo! We have a membership there and to the Children's Museum. We were hoping to catch a glance at Toby, the new panda but as usual, it was hot so he was in hiding. I have a picture but you can barely see him!!!

The gift that keeps giving....

Talk about the gift that keeps giving! Chip bought me my first Coach purse for Christmas 3 years ago! I had problems with the first one's beads kept falling off - I took it back and traded it for the same purse, just a new one. Well, the beads kept falling off that purse so I took it back and traded it for a whole new style - the Carly. After about a year of having the Carly, the top started to fray under the strap so again, back to Coach I went and got a new Carly....once again, the top of the Carly started to fray on the new purse so this weekend, I headed back to Coach to get yet another new style and here she is!!! My new baby! Isn't she magnificent?!?!? I just kept petting it all weekend! At this rate, I'm averaging about a new Coach purse each year and I LOVE LOVE LOVE her! Chip picked her out all by himself :) He's SOOOO good! We've decided that this is the best gift he's ever gotten me - buy 1 Coach and get to trade it in each year for something new!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is Chip & I's 7 year wedding anniversary! Woo hoo and HA! for all of you who thought we'd never last!!! (wink! wink!) Anniversaries are always fun - it's fun to realize how far you've come together, how much you've accomplished and to be grateful for the life, friendship and love you've built together. At the end of the day, Chip is my heart and soul and even after 10 years, I still think he's cute as a button! I love my life with him and the daughter we have! I'm looking forward to sharing as many years together as we can! I love you sweetie & Happy Anniversary!

Need I Say More??

For those of you who just do not see what I see when I say that Madison looks JUST like Chip to me - here is my proof! This was taken when we took Madison to Rocket City....seriously, need I say more??

Last weekend Chip and I took Madison to Rocket City to play in the "tot" area - we attempted to get her to ride the carousel. She wasn't real happy about it....although she did enjoy beating the little heads off the chipmunks! What a shocker! She liked the "violent" games the best! LOL That's totally a CHIP trait!

Discovery Green

Houston has this amazing park downtown called Discovery Green. Chip and I met up with his parents and took Madison & Caleb down there yesterday. The kids had so much fun! We could of stayed there all day if they would of held out with no naps!!! I don't think I've ever seen Madison sleep so hard! LOL Anyway, we had fun - especially in the water! Her aunt Courtney snapped these shots for us - I packed everything in our house - except our camera! Go figure!

Ride Em' Cowgirl!

Although it's officially Rodeo Time in Houston - it is at The Unerfusser house as well! My dad built me this rocking horse when I was a baby. I remember playing with it and loving it a lot. For Christmas last year, they gave it to Madison to love for hopefully another 30 years! The best gifts are made with love and last a lifetime!

Surgery Update

Madison had surgery on Friday to have tubes placed in both ears. Thank you for all your sweet messages, prayers and concern! It was much needed and appreciated! Chip and I were a mess with worry! She came through the surgery great and was an angel leading up to it. She didn't fuss at all even though she hadn't eaten in almost 12 hours! The hospital was amazing - she got to ride around in a wagon, got stickers and even a new friend and nice warm blanket to take home with her! She was loved on and spoiled all weekend! She's still in pain and her ears are still bothering her. They are not healed and were still infected when she went in for surgery. So, no signs yet of any improvement but again, it was just Friday! I'm sure as they heal, she will improve and we are all looking forward to a much happier and hopefully pain free Maddie!

Madison's Surgery

Is scheduled for this Friday, February 27th. Chip and I have to be at the hospital at 6:30 am and she will go in at 7:30 am. She has to fast (so she's going to be very grumpy and hungry!) but hopefully she should be done around 9:00 am. I'm hoping she recovers well and that this finally puts an end to her pain and everything that has come with all these ear infections!

Ear Drama

Well after 15 ear infections in 12 months (can you believe that!?!?! - crazy!) we have finally been able to schedule Madison for tubes! Say it with me people - Yeah!!! Any parents who has been through this knows the hell it is. It's costing Chip and I everything we have literally to do it but it's so needed. The ear drama regarding Madison must stop. No more fevers, vomiting, diaper rash from medications, ear pain, no sleep, grumpy baby, wobbly walking, no talking - it should all end. She's scheduled for surgery next Friday and although my stomach sinks at the thought of her being under anaesthesia (she's just so small), I'm confident all will be well and in the end, she might actually feel better - for once!

Beauty Runs In The Family

So like most parents, I am more than happy to toot my own horn if you will about how adorable I think Madison is! Every parent thinks their child is just especially cute and I am no different! I also happen to think that Chip and I both come from a long line of cuties! :) Last summer, Chip's parents had all the grand kids together for a photo shoot. It went really well and apparently the photographer thought our little darlings were just as cute as we did! She ended up putting Madison, Caleb and Tyler's pictures on her website! I can TRY to feed myself! So like most parents, I went a bit nuts in letting Madison try to feed herself! She tries really hard so I went and got her a big girl plate, fork, spoon, cup, and a bib that catches it all! Last night was our first attempt and I'm thinking not too bad.....
