Addyson Dorea Andrews is here!!We'll post a bit more later, but just wanted to get a few much anticipated photos up for her adoring fans!! Jen and Addy are both doing fine after the 6:45 am birth. She is the most beautiful baby I've ever seen. Really.

SHE'S HERE!!!

She's Here! She's Here! She's Here!!! Our friends Jennifer & Daron Andrews had their baby girl Addyson Dorea Andrews (middle name pronounced Door-Rey-Ah) in memory of "Rodeo" Jennifer's beloved dog. She arrived in Kanab, UT at 7:45 AM and was 6 lbs. 1 oz. and 18 3/4 inches long. She has redish/brown hair and green eyes!!! The proud new parents have promised pictures soon but we have been assured by her daddy that she is "Sooooooo Cute!!!" Congratulations! We miss you guys and wish we were there but we are so happy everyone is here and doing well!!!

Future Blackmail :)

Ahhhh the joys of parenting - you get to have blackmail pictures for later in life and these are good ones!!! It was the perfect time to snaps some pics of Maddie while daddy was giving her a bath! Who says I don't plan ahead???

Cover Contest

I have submitted Madison's photo for the Parenting Magazine Cover Contest....semi-finalist will be notified by June 16th and winners will be flown to New York and will appear on the cover of Parenting Magazine in November 2008. Keep your fingers crossed for Maddie :)

2008 Stupid People Award Goes To.....

Generally, I don't like calling anyone stupid but this just took the cake - this lady for sure gets the award for 2008 in my book - this is bad - like even worse then something I would do on my worst blond day!!!
So I'm at work and one of our customer service reps is speaking to a lady who is trying to use our site and is clearly VERY frustrated...she's attempting to use her child's log on information and is looking everywhere on the keyboard of her computer for the upside down exclamation point. (crickets chirping) - (I'm not making this up) - After about 10 min. on the phone trying to explain there is no such thing and to calm her down - the question finally comes out and we ask "Do you mean a lower case i???" - Customer hangs up the phone......
I'm still laughing SO hard that I can barely breath!!! I'm embarrassed FOR her. She immediately called back and apologized (She should) and stated she was very embarrassed and to please not laugh at her. (Again, it's really way too late for that). So please join me and put your hands together (clapping) for our 2008 Stupid People Award Winner!!!! Congratulations lady! I'm thrilled to know you are using an education site! (iiiiiiiiii)

Cute, Comfy & Cuddly

Today is a nasty day and all Miss Madison and I wanted to do was stay all curled up in bed being comfy and cuddly but nope, had to go to work and school so might as well look cute too! Anyway, even though I had to drag my butt up out of bed to get ready for work, Jack & Madison continued to cuddle and sleep anyway.....

Howl At The Moon

Saturday Madison stayed at her MawMaw & PawPaw's loft downtown and Chip and I headed out with Danny and Janel to this really cool piano bar called Howl At The Moon - which we all later ended up doing :) It was SO much fun - I could of lived with out the South African man who spit so much when he talked you felt like you had taken a shower, but other then that, I think a good time was had by all!!! We ended up running into a former co-worker of mine, Mary who was there for her daughter's bachelorette party!!! (woo hoo - those are always a blast!!!) I just wanted to say it was good to see her and congrats on the wedding which I believe is next week.... which means grand babies are sure to follow which I know delights Mary to no end!!!

Luck of the.....Sweet Germ!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!! Instead of luck of the Irish, Madison has luck of the Sweedish/German! we just call her a Sweet Germ :) - Of course, I dressed my little girl up as a leprechaun this morning and we headed off to school - sleep deprived but whatever...I'm not bitter :)

Lucky Kitty

Ok, so I got Madison sleeping in her bed - it only took her own pillow, a soft addition to her current mattress and a few last minute touches - see, doesn't she look peaceful?? All was well until about midnight when I heard the neighbors cat meowing at the top of it's lungs and his stupid wind chime at his front door - ALL NIGHT LONG!!! This disturbed Madison so much she was up around every 2.5 hours, which of course, means I WAS UP as well! Ugh - I just can't win. Everything in your sleep deprived body just wants to scoop her up and head back to my room - where it's QUIET but I know I can't. I guess just as with sleep loss, her and I will get use to the annoying sounds of my neighbor's cat and wind chime - Jackie almost got let out this morning for a potty break and a "snack" at 3:00 am :) That cat should be grateful - seriously :)

Routine's Are Important

We all know how important it is to keep your kiddos on a routine, well, seems Madison's new routine includes cereal in the morning (oooooh, big girl!) and her daddy picking out her outfits the evening before. This was Chip's choice for today - he's pretty good!

Madison is doing several new things these days...one of which is sleeping in the bed like a grown up which just cracks Chip and I up - she looks so strange....just lying there....it's funny. Anyway, the rest of the pics are of her in her outfit her daddy picked out for her to wear today to school - say it with me Awwww!! and of her playing in her pack-n-play this morning (waiting for me to get ready for work) with JoJo (the bunny) and her pig and lamb that MeMe and PaPa got her. They also went on a massive shopping spree to Carters - trust me, I promise you'll be seeing several more pictures of Miss Madison in all her new gear - she should model for Carters!! Or, it would be wise for us to own stock in the company - one or the other :)

Flying By

Ok so where is the year going???? I can't believe Madison is already 4 months old and I've still not found the time nor energy to work off this baby weight! So annoying! This picture was taken at Kirk's Birthday....do we really look this old, fat and tired???? Look at the difference a year makes! The picture where I'm molesting Chip is from Kirk's b-day last year!

So Maddie had her 4 month check-up and shots (ouch!) Monday and the doctor went ahead and put in the order to start her on solid foods! Weeeeeeee! The day Chip has been waiting for! So, out to the store I went, buying her own special bowls, spoons and of course, Rice Cereal :) I raced home and put her in the bumbo (which has this cool tray attachment I found - just another reason to love it) and we did it - we tried our very first taste of rice cereal....now, after about a minute of looking at me like I was TOTALLY insane - she started crying (dying of hunger) and we immediately put a bottle in her mouth....we'll just have to try again tomorrow when she's not so hungry. I can already tell this might be a wee bit challenging as well as messy!!! Anyway, daddy was on stand-by with the camera to catch her experiencing her first big girl food - she looks happy huh!?!?! LOL

More Yumminess....

Not that yumminess is a word, but if it was, Matthew and Jared would be the definition...I'm by no means straying from my 1st pick Matthew but Jared (front man for 30 Seconds to Mars) is a VERY close 2nd!

So, what is every new parents favorite thing to do??? Cuddle with their little one of course!

Minds At Ease.....

I was unaware by my last few blog posts that I would send minds everywhere racing at the thought that I would want a second child :) As much as I love, adore, cherish and worship Madison - please let me tell you all - I have not and have no intention of having a follow up. As much as I appreciate each of your warnings, there is no real delicate way to word this other then to assure each of you that we are taking every measure possible at the moment to ensure that will not happen! I promise. I realize that most of you are sitting back, laughing saying "Yeah, we've all heard that before but when she gets older, you'll get the baby bug"....again, I'm sure you are all correct...I'm sure other women feel that way - They are cute and I agree that you just want to eat them up but NOPE there is still not one tiny, tinge, hint or even trace of desire to go through pregnancy or labor again. Nor, to raise another one :) I'm very busy and content at the moment with Madison and Chip and have my hands MORE then full with just that. I'm not sure my sanity could handle any more at the moment, or ever for that matter :) ....so please, everyone can rest assured (I've never seen such a flood of emails in my life! LOL) yes, I love Madison and yes, when it comes to her I'm happily obsessed but I will keep my word. She is and will always be, our only child. So, sit back and relax and enjoy me just ranting and raving about her cause it's only happening once!

Again, I realize I am her mother so of course I think she's the cutest thing EVER but she's just so cute I can't stand it! Doug & Kim bought Madison this adorable outfit that I've been (once again) waiting for her to grow into so I could go have pictures done! Much to my delight - the day arrived and the pictures turned out great!

Looking Back...

I realized looking back at old posts on the blog that since October 30th, 2007, I've practically talked about nothing other then Madison. For most of you, I'm sure this comes as a bore. Your probably getting excited at this moment thinking that I had finally figured out to speak of something else for a change but you would be wrong :) See, my Madison is perfection. She is the glue that holds my universe together and I could go on and on (anyone who knows me knows that is true!) about her forever! I would give up anything (sleep, personal apperance, sanity...) for her without so much as a second thought. My precious miracle turned 4 months old on Tuesday. I can't spend enough time looking at her or being with her. There aren't enough hours in the day. Waking up is like Christmas morning every day....she's so much fun to talk to, to watch, to dress and to cuddle with. On one hand, I love watching her grow up. I love watching her do and discover new things but at the same time, it makes me sad to realize that all of this is going by so fast and before I know it, my little girl will not be little anymore. She's the light of my life and my favorite part of the day. She's like sunshine on a rainy day and a cool breeze during summer. One look and smile from her can melt your heart in a second. So, even though looking back at old blog posts are fun and my life with Chip for 9 years has been great, my life now is more then I could of hoped for and I couldn't imagine it any other way.

Daddy's Girl

So Sunday, Chip and I woke up and went and got Miss Madison who was staying at MeMe & PaPa's house. Chip had the great idea to take her to this restaurant, the Rainforrest Cafe at Katy Mills Mall. For those of you who have never been, you have to go! It's filled with fish, animals, waterfalls and tons of colorful things to look at! Chip and Madison spent time looking at the fish tanks and all around the gift shop...she took a bit of a nap during lunch but was ready to hit the mall when she woke up! We spent the next several hours walking around the mall and of course, being the daddy's girl she is, Chip couldn't resist getting her 2 adorable outfits!!! They are 2 little dresses with sweaters. So, we had to put one on her for school today! So precious!

Tummy Time

So my big girl is starting to learn to roll over from her back to her front but she's got this tummy time thing down! One of her favorite things to do on her stomach??? Thanks to MawMaw & PawPaw it's watching her Baby Einstein DVD's on her very own big screen dvd player!!!
