My best friend Cortney lives in Kingwood and with everyone's very busy schedule, it's not often I get to go see her but since Chip had the new car and he was itching to drive it, I decided to take advantage of the situation and off to Kingwood we headed :) It was good to see her even if only for a few hours and of course, Maddie got tons of love from her cousins!

"Da Da"

To top off an even bigger weekend for Chip, Madison said her first word this weekend, that's right, she looked at Chip, at 5:30 am all bright eyed and smiled then she reached for him and said "Da-Da" and I personally witnessed a 34 year old man melt. Then once we overly praised her, she decided to say it 2 more times! Chip was of course SO excited and proud until we took her to Denny's for our usual weekend morning breakfast and she would say it to anyone who passed!

FAB-U-LOUS!!!

FAB-U-LOUS!!!! That's how I am describing my new chair. Chip fought me on getting this puppy BIG time but I did it anyway and I love it! Funny, for someone who hates the chair SOOOO much, I can't seem to get him out of my Diva Chair :)

Happy Everything!!!

So he got it - well he got one - an even better one then the one we paid to have transferred here!!! Not much to say, it's a FULLY loaded 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 8 Brand Spankin' New!!! This baby is BAD and it's all Chippers - after 60 days :) See, when I first got my car, I was put on bed rest the next week and Chip took it upon himself to put the first 2,000 miles on my new car over the course of about 2 months.....SO, when the dealer congratulated Chip and said "Mr. Unerfusser, here are the keys" I smiled and said "Pay backs are a (beep!)!!!!
So, for the next 60 days, this pretty little girl is all mine and Maddie's to use for anything and everything I can think of! We joke and say the Grand Cherokee part is for the baby and the SRT 8 part is for daddy!!! :) The best part, she goes 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds in the rain! It hauls! So, Happy Everything Chippers!!!

Daddy's New Toy???

Most of you know that Chip has been driving "Big Blue" for the past almost 7 years...painful years :) He's patiently allowed me to get 2 cars during that time, the most recent is my Altima - actually it was for Maddie but whatever!!

So, since Daddy's Day is a comin' and it's his first AND he really wants/needs a new ride we have been searching for possible options. We've called every dealership in town looking at anything from the new Camero, to the Challenger to the G37 and after the endless sports car options, he surprised me with this! It's a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 8. Granted, this is not an ordinary Jeep Grand Cherokee - it's the sport edition of course and it's fabulous! This baby MOVES! We are going to go look at it and maybe, just maybe get a new toy for Daddy on Father's Day!

So Pretty

MawMaw & PawPaw Unerfusser got Madison the CUTEST dress! I just couldn't help it - I had to put her in it and take her to school to show her off! She loves going to school pretty :) So, this is her, this morning, in her pretty dress at school that everyone loved!! She gets walked around to be shown off to the other rooms when she wears something cute! Thank you!!!

Almost Famous....or at least working on it!

I have a friend who suggested I submit Madison's picture to Katy Magazine for a cute kid contest...well, I did and the Assistant Editor wrote me back stating that she loved Madison's picture that she will be using it in an upcoming issue of Katy Magazine so I will be sure to be on the lookout and will post it as soon as I find it!

Meme & Papa

Madison went for her weekly visit to Meme & Papa and decided to show off all her new talents!! She has started to crawl, tries desperately to walk!!!, hold her own bottle, wave good-bye, gives hugs and kisses and sleep for 8 hours! (woohoo! - She's only done this once but I'm hoping the trend continues!) Such a BIG girl!!!

Go Texans!

We had a fantastic time at the Texans event!! It was fun to try the food, drink some drinks, meet the players and cheerleaders and see what the world looks like from the stadium floor! Before we left, we toured places like the locker room, workout room, players lounge and got some cool autographs and pictures. I hope that my boss doesn't want to attend again next year!!! LOL Thanks Michael!

'08 ALL ACCESS TEXANS!!!

So my fab new boss gave Chip and I All Access VIP Passes to a special private event on Thursday night where you get to meet the players and cheerleaders and tour the weight room, locker room, training room and players lounge. It's a drink and greet kind of event and I can't wait!!! We already can't wait for football season to start again and this is just very exciting! I hope to take lots of pictures and get tons of cool autographs so I will be sure to update asap!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend was good just not near long enough! I feel like I start out the week with a clean slate, then all week long, I have no time so my life just keeps piling up so by the time the weekend gets here, I'm working all weekend to get ready for the coming week! Sort of seems unfair :) Anyway, I really didn't do anything fantastic or exciting. Just hung out and tried my best not to work!!! Saturday morning, all the grand kids (from Chip's parents side) all got together in Kingwood for a photo shoot. It was really cute to see them all together and I can't wait to see the proof's to see if they got any cute shots!!! Trevor & Gina's daughter's birthday was Saturday evening and I had to miss the event but I hope she had a great birthday!! Chip said she seemed to have a good party. Sunday, Kirk, Denise & Chip woke up early and had a crawfish boil at the Greer's house!!! Maddie and I stopped by for a few minutes to say hi and to taste the finished product and I must admit - they were pretty darn good! The boys can for sure cook! Then Maddie and I headed off to our first visit to the pool for the year!! I'm sure our casper white skinned blinded most but we had a good time playing at the splash pad! Yesterday was spent hanging out and just getting ready for today - which I was still not ready for come 5:30 am this morning!!! Other then that, on the Madison front, she is doing her best to crawl and walk. She's talking up a storm, teething and is getting so big!!! This week will be her 7 month birthday!

Madison at 6 months.....

They Grow Up So Fast!

So, it's been a while since I had some Madison "news" or even an updated picture!! Forgive the poor pictures - not only did I take them on my blackberry but it was also like 6:30 am and she was not in the mood (or awake enough!) to be camera ready!!! She looks so different! Here's the scoop - my 6 1/2 month old daughter (can you believe it's been that long!?!?! I really need to workout!!!) anyway, is sitting up on her own (SO CUTE), sleeping through the night (Thank Goodness!!) and eating baby solid foods! It's so hard to believe that it was 6 months ago when I couldn't wait to not be pregnant anymore. Time has flown by, way too fast! By this Halloween, she'll be a year old. I've loved every moment with her and she's still BY FAR the best thing that I've ever done!

Happy Mother's Day

Best First Mother's Day!!! Chip & Madison took me to brunch at Azzerelli's. It was fantastic! The food was incredible and we got to stop and chat with the owner for a few moments who was very nice. We talked about his new baby and Madison who was being her flirty self :) The rest of the day was spent getting things in order then it was off to my mom's for dinner with the rest of the family. My dad went and got Maddie a baby pool for his house until the real thing is done!!! All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and a great day. Thank you to everyone who called and sent me text messages! VERY sweet of you to think of me! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well! Happy Mommy's Day!

Takin' A Dip

Since MeMe & PaPa's pool isn't expected to be complete until July, Daddy wanted to make sure she was ready for the "big pool" by letting her take her first "dip" in a baby pool - she's gonna go NUTS in the real thing!!! We can't wait!

The Unerfusser's Meet The Bagwell's

To celebrate the HUGE success of Lemonade Day around Houston, we were invited to the "after party" at Taco Milagro. We all had a great time celebrating Lemonade Day's success and it was fun to meet the Bagwell's who were a big part of making yesterday great. There were over 10,000 Lemonade Stands all over Houston yesterday! Pretty impressive!! Miss Madison was the hit of the party - she even got her picture taken with Jeff for a magazine!!! The press loved her and she LOVED the cameras!!! We'll be keeping this one for her scrap book for sure!
