Again, I realize I am her mother so of course I think she's the cutest thing EVER but she's just so cute I can't stand it! Doug & Kim bought Madison this adorable outfit that I've been (once again) waiting for her to grow into so I could go have pictures done! Much to my delight - the day arrived and the pictures turned out great!

Looking Back...

I realized looking back at old posts on the blog that since October 30th, 2007, I've practically talked about nothing other then Madison. For most of you, I'm sure this comes as a bore. Your probably getting excited at this moment thinking that I had finally figured out to speak of something else for a change but you would be wrong :) See, my Madison is perfection. She is the glue that holds my universe together and I could go on and on (anyone who knows me knows that is true!) about her forever! I would give up anything (sleep, personal apperance, sanity...) for her without so much as a second thought. My precious miracle turned 4 months old on Tuesday. I can't spend enough time looking at her or being with her. There aren't enough hours in the day. Waking up is like Christmas morning every day....she's so much fun to talk to, to watch, to dress and to cuddle with. On one hand, I love watching her grow up. I love watching her do and discover new things but at the same time, it makes me sad to realize that all of this is going by so fast and before I know it, my little girl will not be little anymore. She's the light of my life and my favorite part of the day. She's like sunshine on a rainy day and a cool breeze during summer. One look and smile from her can melt your heart in a second. So, even though looking back at old blog posts are fun and my life with Chip for 9 years has been great, my life now is more then I could of hoped for and I couldn't imagine it any other way.

Daddy's Girl

So Sunday, Chip and I woke up and went and got Miss Madison who was staying at MeMe & PaPa's house. Chip had the great idea to take her to this restaurant, the Rainforrest Cafe at Katy Mills Mall. For those of you who have never been, you have to go! It's filled with fish, animals, waterfalls and tons of colorful things to look at! Chip and Madison spent time looking at the fish tanks and all around the gift shop...she took a bit of a nap during lunch but was ready to hit the mall when she woke up! We spent the next several hours walking around the mall and of course, being the daddy's girl she is, Chip couldn't resist getting her 2 adorable outfits!!! They are 2 little dresses with sweaters. So, we had to put one on her for school today! So precious!

Tummy Time

So my big girl is starting to learn to roll over from her back to her front but she's got this tummy time thing down! One of her favorite things to do on her stomach??? Thanks to MawMaw & PawPaw it's watching her Baby Einstein DVD's on her very own big screen dvd player!!!

Play Time

You know how much Chip loves Maddie and I by this HUGE play area that I've managed to slowly set up in the corner of our dining room. For those of you who know Chip, you know that he likes things just a certain way and baby stuff displayed everywhere....is not on his favorite things list :) BUT, because we are his girls, he has let me do it without saying a word...he even plays with Madison in her special little corner!

Our Sweetheart

This is going to be one of those moments in Madison's life where she looks back at this outfit and is going to want to kill me! LOL She is for sure the talk of day care each day when she arrives in her outfits that we plan so well :) Today for Valentine's Day she's wearing pink pants with white hearts, her socks are white with pink hearts and of course, the shirt has a touch of bling :) with a pink flower!!! The bow is just the icing on the cake! LOVE HAVING A GIRL PEOPLE!!! Doesn't she just look delicious??? Such a sweetheart!

Numero Uno!!!

Much like our kids, we all think our dogs are the cutest :) Well, our friends Kirk & Denise own a Beagle named Morgan that really is just the cutest!!! We always talk about what a pretty dog she is! Denise and I went and got her when she was just a tiny little thing!! Well, this year, for the first time ever, a Beagle named Uno won Best In Show at the Westminster Dog Show and she looks just like Morgy!!! So, congrats to Uno and to Morgy for being SO CUTE and the best dogs ever! Ah-Rooooo!

Baby Love

Well, as I'm sure most of you have heard by now, Matthew McConaughey is going to be a daddy and I am not the lucky girl! (weeping uncontrollably!!!) anywho, Chip was very eager it seemed to share the news with me further crushing any dreams I had of ever moving to Austin or California and make stalking him my full-time job :)

But, seems the world is not such a cruel place after all :) Karma. See, Chip's favorite Victorias Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio is expecting a visit from the stork as well :) Then, to make matters even worse, his favorite actress, Jessica Alba - pregnant! Ahhhh, the world is at peace again!

Big chair for the big game!!!

Miss Madison has made it VERY clear that she is a big girl who wants to sit up - she no longer wishes to lay in her baby green pillow that she has spent the last 13 weeks of her life in....No, no...she wants to sit up and see what's going on! She'd walk if she could! So, my mom went and got her the Bumbo...this is the new green pillow in our house - Madison LOVES her new big girl chair and loved watching the football game in it! So, I'm sure 90% of all the pictures you see from this point forward (much like the green pillow pics) will all now be in the Bumbo :)

Sugar and spice and everything nice....

Thank heaven for little girls! Really! Lord knows I did something right to be blessed with Madison! She just gets more adorable every second of the day! I will be forever grateful that she's healthy and complete's my life. I don't even remember how I ever lived without her to begin with :) Anyway, this morning (cause it's Friday and we were feelin' sassy) I was getting her dressed for school and couldn't resist putting her in this outfit! I LOVE it! Did I mention again how fantastic I think it is that I have a little girl????? :) She looked SO cute even the ladies at school had to take her around to the other classroom's to show her off!

Van Halen

So Chip's dad got a suite at the Toyota Center for the Van Halen concert! How cool is that!?!?! AND he was actually nice enough to invite us along! Your not supposed to bring camera's but I'm sneaky :) The pictures didn't come out too well but we were there and the concert was amazing! The view was impossible to beat, the food was good and everyone had such a great time - Chip even got himself a vintage looking shirt that he loves! For all of you who missed it, it's really sad for you :)

12 weeks old

That's How I Roll!

Ok, besides what the shirt says (which cracks us up by the way) she literally does! That's right! Miss Madison rolled over from her back to her stomach for the first time today! This is what she was wearing when she did it (the Dad Rocks shirt) and she's 13 weeks old today! Such a big girl! She's ready to go!

No Autograph's Please!!!

So Chip and I are fully aware that we believe we've produced the cutest baby on the planet like most parents are with their children but it's amazing how used to the camera flash our little diva is! Since the day she was born, we have jokingly stated that the paparazzi follows her everywhere so we thought it was only appropriate to get her a shirt that says "No autograph's please"....notice the shoes, my parents bought her socks that look like old time Mary Jane's and Sneakers in EVERY color you can imagine! We love them - in fact we plan entire outfits around these shoe/socks, much as it will be later in life! It's all about the shoes!

Baby it's cold outside!!!

So winter is finally here in Houston - normally, this does not excite me but the world is a fun place with Madison - mainly because she's finally growing into most of the clothes I have been dying to put her in! Again, so loving that I had a girl! For example, Jason & Hilary (Chip's cousin's) bought her this precious coat and hat that is SO soft! She looks so precious all bundled up!

Baby Cam

Well, Madison's first day care, Grandma's house, didn't work out so well for me so I moved her to Kids R Kids and guess what!!?!?! They have BABY CAM! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this feature!! They have camera's in the room where I can log on at anytime I would like to see what Miss Maddie Paddie is up too! Whew! What a relief! Today was her first day and so far it seems to be going well! I'm so very happy we switched and I think she will be in the long run too!

The Return

Well, here it is, 12 weeks later and I'm back at work. So far, all is well. I'm still in the honeymoon stage - everyone is glad to see me and I'm just trying to get back in the swing of things - I think next week, when it wears off that I'm back, I will really see how things are going to be!!! :) Miss Madison seems to be doing great at daycare. She went 4 hours on Friday, 6 on Monday and will be there the full 8 today. It's also daddy's first time to pick her up :) Should be interesting :) Her lack of concern with me leaving her there is rather hurtful! For me, it's like this fully charged emotional thing - leaving my poor, sweet baby in the care of strangers. For her, it's play time - as soon as I walk in she immediately starts talking (well, her version of talking) to Molly and Kinsey (2 other little girls there) and just sort of looks at me like why are you still here??? Kills me. My desk already looks like this embarrassing shrine of Madison - there are pictures of her everywhere....yes, I'm one of THOSE mom's and yes, I don't care!!! Hey, she's cute - can't help it! Anyway, I love my little crib midget (you like that??? My mom and I heard it on a movie and I've been laughing about it ever since) and even though she doesn't miss me much, I sure do miss her!

Little Princess

My First Day

I did it...I woke up this morning, got up, and got Maddie ready for her first day of school. I got her all settled in with all of her stuff for her crib, etc. at daycare and just stepped back for a while and observed. Everything was great - everyone was holding and cooing over her until of course, another baby needed attention. Then, Madison was put in her crib, left talking to the mobile I had brought her. I just sat there, and watched her by herself in her crib, talking and no one listening. I lost it. I completely broke down right then and there when I realized that strangers are now watching my little girl and she's not the center of their world, as she is mine. My heart just broke in a million pieces. I know she has to go, and I know I can't stay home and that they are good people and will take care of her. I know that in time, this will get easier but this morning KILLED me and I'm counting the minutes, no seconds until I can go pick her up. Walking out those doors was the hardest thing I've ever done.

Starting School

So, the time has come, the moment I have been dreading for the past 11 weeks, Madison starts daycare on Monday so these are my final 5 days with her. I knew this was going to be hard, I don't think I was prepared for it to be this hard. I will do my best to focus on my job while I'm there but I can already tell that I won't be able to wait to get home to kiss those cheeks, those little hands and toes and I'll think of that smile all day long. My parents got her a jump-a-roo that she's still a little small for but she loves it. We will be sending it to daycare with her so she can have some fun :) So, this is our last update on the blog together (she's sitting in my lap). Nothing on this planet means more to me then being her mom and she's by far, the best thing I've ever done.

I'm A Big Girl Now

Well, at least she is trying really hard to be! At 10 weeks, my daughter believes she 6 months already and is trying so hard to hold up her own head and sit up on her own....such a big girl!!!
