Shopping Bummer!

So to celebrate my new job my fantastic hubby drove me to the new outlet mall off 290 to take me shopping. Much to my disappointment, I really wasn't that impressed. I didn't like it too much. After going in almost every store we could find, we left with nothing!!! Can you believe it!?!? There was a huge line outside the Coach store (still) so we didn't even bother - there was nothing in there I wanted that bad!! LOL
The area and the mall is beautiful but it's VERY far from our house and I'm not sure we'll be going back any time soon. Sunday we did however wake up early and went shopping around our side of town and ended up finding me a ton of cute stuff for the new gig :) I hope everyone else has more luck at the outlet mall then we did :)

9 Lives

So, like a cat people, I seem to have 9 lives!!!
I have FANTASTIC news! I'm employed again! Exactly 8 (working) days from being "laid off" from Questia, I've happily accepted an offer to be Michael Holthouse's assistant. This is like the Super Bowl of assistant jobs. This is the best of the best and I'm honored and very excited to be given this opportunity! For those of you who don't know who he is, Google him - chances are you will know of him or something he's done. He's a fantastic guy who's doing really fantastic things around Houston.
I really appreciate every one's efforts in my job search! Will update more soon.....

A Day With Daddy

Saturday morning Chip woke up and decided he wanted a day with his girls :) We ate breakfast and then headed downtown to the Aquarium. We took Madison on her first train ride, she ate with the sharks :), saw piranha's feed on some chicken, 2 white tigers up close and personal and touched a baby sting ray :) Only problem - we forgot our camera!!! I know, how retarded am I!?!?! Just another excuse to repeat the day!

Laughing Matter!!!

This is sort of like a bad blond joke or nightmare - depends on how you view it....I have been called by 10 (I am not making this up) different placement companies in Houston to interview for the SAME job!!! Can you believe it!?!?! Apparently this guy sent out this job request to every placement company in Houston - I've posted my resume on the normal job sites and bamb!!! 10 interview request in the past 2 days - ALL for the same job! Unbelievable!! I met with the first company this morning and have been declining the rest. I have a few more interviews set up for tomorrow and Friday for different positions (Thank goodness!) but I just thought - who else would this happen too??? Am I the only qualified candidate for that position that 10 different agencies would call?? To make things even more frustrating - the first person I spoke to regarding the position sent my resume over and he wants to "wait" to see other applicants as I was the first one submitted before he starts interviewing......hummmmm....does anyone else see his problem? Apparently, I'm going to be his ONLY candidate! LOL

Nothing New

Nothing new to report since the lay off from Questia last week. I'm still searching for jobs and am open to suggestions or if anyone knows of anything :) As soon as I have an update, I'll be sure to post it!

Swimsuit Season!

Well not everyone in the family (mainly myself) is ready for swimsuit season but Miss Maddie sure is!! Here she is modeling one of her suits :) Just adorable!!! We're thinking lots and lots and lots of sunscreen!!!

6 Years!

Sunday marked Chip & I's 6 Year Anniversary! We enjoyed the day just hanging out together as a family and Chip surprised me with these beautiful flowers :)

Escape the big city.....

Madison needed a break from the "big city" life of Houston so off to Grandmommy & Granddaddy's house she went for a visit. She went on a ride in a wagon and even played with the goats! She had her first goat ride and although we had to leave too early for the tractor ride, she's already told us that she expects it on her next visit!

So it seems Chippy and I are coming up on yet another wedding anniversary (WooHoo!) This year (April 6th) is our big 6 year anniversary! Not sure how we'll be celebrating next Sunday but I know I'm looking forward to it and at least another 6 years with Chip!!!! :)

Just a warning - seems I've had a response that voting for Madison on that site requires a lot of rejecting things and that it forces you to offer one so you can submit your vote which captures your email and sends you tons of offers.....be ware - if it asks you to do a bunch of stuff - just skip the voting :) I appreciate the thought but it's not worth being loaded down with spam!!! BFF's

So they don't really know it yet, but Addy and Maddie are future BFF's for sure :) Madison was a whopping 3 lbs and 3 inches bigger then Addy AND she's 4.5 months older so I'm sure she can bully Addy into being her bud :) Aren't they the cutest EVER! Say it with me people.....AWWWWWWWWW!!! Now, location could prove to be somewhat of an issue - that is of course until her parents move back to Texas! (HINT! HINT!)

SHE'S HERE!!!

She's Here! She's Here! She's Here!!! Our friends Jennifer & Daron Andrews had their baby girl Addyson Dorea Andrews (middle name pronounced Door-Rey-Ah) in memory of "Rodeo" Jennifer's beloved dog. She arrived in Kanab, UT at 7:45 AM and was 6 lbs. 1 oz. and 18 3/4 inches long. She has redish/brown hair and green eyes!!! The proud new parents have promised pictures soon but we have been assured by her daddy that she is "Sooooooo Cute!!!" Congratulations! We miss you guys and wish we were there but we are so happy everyone is here and doing well!!!

Ahhhh the joys of parenting - you get to have blackmail pictures for later in life and these are good ones!!! It was the perfect time to snaps some pics of Maddie while daddy was giving her a bath! Who says I don't plan ahead???
