Nursery Decor

MUCH THANKS to Chip's parents for getting us this adorable bedding we wanted!!! We both really love the color purple so this is what we selected! I also promised I would not do pink over kill in the room - now, if she happens to wear a touch of pink everyday, I personally see nothing wrong with that! I can't wait to get it and put it all together! Now the fun part starts! SO CUTE!!!

For My Baby's Daddy......

Eight years, a happy home and a baby Unerfusser on the way. It has been the two of us, moving through life, stopping only occasionally to smell the new landscaping we seem to continuously let die.
We almost died trying to build a home together (or killed each other...depending on perspective) and at the end of the day, that is where I'm trying to get too. Not so much to the house itself, more to get to him as he is home to me now.
He has grown into the husband that I knew he would be all along, and somewhere along the way, the 25 year old who was more wrapped up in his friends, has turned into a 33 year old who drives his pregnant wife 10 miles out of the way for a soft serve ice cream with chocolate sauce....all without one complaint.
We have stood next to each other, as we promised to do, in good times and in bad. We have gone through loss and life together.
I have had the pleasure of watching his expression when he first saw his child on an ultrasound, and have seen him prepare to become a father when he thinks no one is looking.
In a few months, it will all change, and our family of two, will become a family of three. I know that these past years, when it has been just the two of us, figuring out how to move through the world, have been the happiest of my life.
Years from now, when we are rocking on our porch together, (and still looking fabulous I might add) alone again after our child has gone, I will measure the success of our life based upon the incredible love and friendship I know we share.
So, as we face this new adventure, I will never forget all the lemon waters, the laundry, the cooking, the pizza's and every home improvement project. For laughing at all my jokes, for making my life brighter and protecting me always, and for looking past the emotional roller coaster ride that is Sarah :)
You have been everything I ever wanted and needed, you have been my center and my home and most importantly my best friend. I never thought I could love anything more then you, until I learned I was having your baby....
So, Happy Father's Day to my baby's daddy!!!

IT'S A...............

GIRL!!!!
I'm SCREAMING uncontrollably at this point!!!! I'm SO excited!!! I can't believe it! I hit the jackpot!!! WooHoo!
Chip on the other hand looks as though he's just seen a ghost (laughing really, really hard) as he's terrified - and for good reason! The Unerfusser household is no longer out numbered (our dogs are both males...well, Bailey is "questionable" but "legally" he's a male) and trust me - I will do EVERYTHING in my power to ensure this little GIRL (I really can't stop saying it) will know exactly how to tug at every string in her daddy's heart :) Ahhhhhhhhhhh, payback!!! I'm joking!! We are both really excited (Yes! BOTH of us! I'm sure I'm a wee bit more but that's ok - he'll come around once the shock wears off I'm sure!!!)

Calling CPS

This happened to me this morning and I just HAD to share it I was laughing so hard! My friend from work was nice enough to give Chip and I a ton of baby stuff! One of the items she gave me was an infant car seat. Yesterday I put it in the back of my car and forgot to take it out last night when I got home. This morning (without thinking) I headed off to work as usual. I took a left turn and when I did the car seat when rolling in the backseat as I do not have it strapped down. I didn't think anything of it until I looked over and there was this woman starring at me in horror as if there was a child in the seat or something! I thought oh my gosh! She's probably going to call CPS and turn me in for not having the car seat strapped down! So, needless to say, I will remember to take the car seat out of the car today when I get home in order to avoid any more of those awful looks!

Baby U Count Down!

It's almost here!!!! We are SO excited to FINALLY find out what baby U's sex is!!! Girl or Boy!?!? Little Sarah or Little Chip!?!?! Pink or Blue!?!?! 15 days and counting.....any guesses????

Something for Sarah

Well after weeks of buying and receiving the cutest baby stuff my dad decided to spoil me with something! A gift card and clothes to this really, really cute maternity store called Pickles and Ice Cream :) They had a ton of really cute stuff and it took me no time at all to spend my gift card!! In fact, in true Sarah fashion...I went back to go spend it the same afternoon he gave it to me! They even let you try on this little belly so you know what the clothes will look like when you are that far!!! I look funny all round and short but my clothes are cute! Then my mom and I headed off to the mall to find some cute shoes. It was a great weekend and so much fun shopping!

San Francisco or Bust!

Me, Chip and my parents all boarded a plane and headed west to San Francisco! We checked into the Hotel California (we felt the need to sing that song each time we entered and left the building by the way) and then we were off to see all San Francisco has to offer - and there is a lot! I've promised my parents that I would not post their pictures on the blog. Their exact words were "No P's on the B unless you want to be hurt"....SO, I will not be posting any pics of the rents but that's ok, we took enough otherwise to give you an idea. We went everywhere from the big house (hehehehe) to the forrest on Earth Day to hug some trees :) We had a fantastic time!

Highway Robbery!

Ok so more good news! We can't afford the baby! Ha! Just kidding - we can afford the baby we just can't afford anyone to watch the baby while we work! Fantastic! So the shock came today as I was "being a good mommy" and planning ahead for our little tykes future. I decided to look into childcare providers & daycares! Ha! What a joke! I'm not sure who can afford 700.00 to 900.00 a month but it's not Chip and I that's for sure! So...I'm looking for anyone who's not crazy, won't beat the baby and charges less then an arm & a leg :) If you know anyone - please let me know!

Princess Erinn's Birthday

Erinn had her b-day party on Saturday at BW3's in SugarLand - the food was SO good and it was nice to warm up to some "hot wings" on a cold day! Chip bought her new puppy Brodie this t-shirt - mainly to upset Mippy "aka Mitchell" but in the end, how could you be upset over something that cute!?!?! It's blue and has pink "prince" in sparkly letters on the back! Perfect since his mom is the ultimate princess :)

Splish! Splash!

(Singing) Workin' at the car wash - whoo whoo whoo yeah! Car wash! Workin' at the car wash! Ok so all of you missed it but I'm so glad I didn't! (still laughing uncontrollably) Chippers decided to wash the truck....while doing so, the water hose fell out of his hand, down on the ground which pinned the spray lever shooting water EVERYWHERE on Chip! Completely soaking him! I let him stand there and drip dry long enough to control my laughter to get the poor baby a towel...(yeah, still laughing really hard) anyway, he ended up doing a really good job! :D Him AND the truck both got baths!!!

Missing Jen-nay

Man she hates that :) When you make her name sound like Forrest Gump is saying it :) Anyway, she's in Florida right now visiting her parents and stopped by an animal rescue while down there. She had this picture on her blog and it made me miss her - this is exactly how I remember her...always helping animals (enough to move to Utah for it). I hope she finds a way back to Houston to visit soon! We miss you!

Bouncy Brodie

April 6th (Same day as Chip & I's anniversary) is my friend Erinn's birthday. I believe she might be turning some OLD age like 27 or something! Hahahaha! I miss being the baby :) Anyway, Mrs. Erinn wanted a puppy SO bad for her birthday. After months of begging her husband he finally caved!! Mitch came home with Brodie - I call him a Brussel Sprout :) Anyway, here he is...SO CUTE! This is her words: Hello to all...I would like to introduce you all to the new love of my life, and addition to our "furry" family! Mitchell, my parents, brothers and my sneaky friend Sarah all helped to make this very possible. This was a HUGE surprise for my birthday and I just adore him! He is a 3 month old Brussels Griffon, and we named him Brodie..and Brodie likes to Bounce! he is full of life and makes us smile. Well..here he is!

New Additions.....

After my last doctor's appointment, I had been informed that it was not good for me to wear heels while pregnant...Yeah, this posed a huge issue for me as I don't think any of you have ever seen me in flats :) Due to my challenging height, I almost ALWAYS wear something with a heel. In sheer frustration and panic I immediately called my parents to share the earth shattering news that not only will I be sick, fat, fashionably challenged as well as pasty white but now short on top of it. Seriously...could it get any worse!?!?! After a good chuckle at my expense my parents came up with the most fantastic solution I think :) They had the brilliant idea that "wedges" would elevate my height yet eliminate my heel issue. Why couldn't I have thought of that in all my drama?!?! To make it even better they got me these perfectly pretty Coach wedges that just so happen to match my perfect little purse :) Ahhhhhhhh...the world is at peace again!

Find Bailey

We have a rug in our living room that we have had for a while. Friday night, Bailey laid down on the rug when we noticed that our rug and Bailey, looked like they could have been family!!! :)
