Children's Museum Update

Here is the proof! We had a blast! We rode the train, saw baby chickens, milked a "fake" cow, played in the grocery store (mainly with the garlic!), sat in a big red hand and anything else we could reach! Even if we had to stand on our VERY tippy toes!

Children's Museum Bound....

This weekend, Maddie, myself, MawMaw, Courtney & Caleb all went to the Children's Museum downtown. We road the train from Chip's parents loft to the Museum. It's was Maddie's first time on the train and she didn't seem to mind a bit! Her and Caleb had tons of fun running around and checking everything out. I will post more pictures soon but this was her as we were leaving for the day! We had so much fun and I can't wait to go again!

Little Princess

It's FRIDAY!! WooHoo! Goodness this has been a LONG week! To celebrate the end of the week, I decided to dress Maddie up for school a bit today! She's so fun!

Puppies! Kittens! Bunnies! Oh My!

Last weekend was a beautiful day and my poor daughter has been couped up with double ear infections! I took her to the ENT who stated when this ear infection clears, next one she has to have tubes :( Poor baby. On one hand, I'm happy that it will bring some relief to her. She's had 1 ear infection a month since she was born and has been on and off antibiotics every 2 weeks for that long as well. I'm sure we will both be glad when the pain is finally gone! Not to mention, SLEEP!!! In the meantime, to lift her spirits and knowing how much she loves animals, I decided to take her to the pet store! I'm not sure who had more fun, me or her! With all her walking, talking, pointing and squealing at the animals....she had me laughing so hard! Her favorites were the Shih Tzu's, Puggles, Bunnies and mice!

Ear Drama

So Madison has yet again another set of ear infections! I know - shocker! Let's see, she's had practically one a month since she was 3 months old! The doctor is suggesting we see an ENT which I requested MONTHS ago and possible tubes in her ears. More to come. Anything to help her at this point.

The Hair Fairy

So I'm not really sure what happened to the hair fairy when it comes to Madison but my 14 month old is still practically bald. To make matters even worse, I've waited what seems to be a lifetime for her to grow enough hair on the top of her head to give her the famous and oh so precious pigtails that I LOVE doing to her hair! WELL - seems she has a different feeling about those pigtails as the other day when I picked her up from school, she had ripped one of them off her head! NOW not only is she bald but she has a little patch on her head where one pigtail USED to reside! KILLING ME! She has no hair as it is and now it's even LESS and spiked on one side of her head! I really, really need the hair fairy! Doesn't she understand I'm only trying to help!?!?

The Andrew's Visit

Our good friends Daron & Jen who moved to Utah so long ago (which is the whole reason I started the blog!!) finally came to visit with their beautiful daughter Addyson. Jennifer and I always said we would be pregnant together (of course, she was supposed to live here with me when that happened but whatever....moving on) and we were! We also knew that our daughters would be the best of friends and from their visit to Houston, seems like that will work out well too! The girls were so good and got along great! Can't wait for the next time! Aren't they just the cutest!?!? I could just eat them up!

Specially For Maddie

My friend Julie at work has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. During her travels to Guatemala this year, she brought back this adorable bag for Maddie!!

School Days

Today I dressed Madison up in a dress I got her over the holiday's. I just can't resist. She's growing up way too fast!!!

The Zoo

In September, Chip and I took Madison to the Zoo. I don't think I ever posted the pictures...

Here is the old post: So this Saturday, Chip took Madison and I to the Houston Zoo. The weather was PERFECT and it was SO much fun! Madison really enjoyed the larger active animals. I'm sure it's because those were the ones she could really see! Her faves were the elephants, giraffes and monkeys! As soon as I can find a cord to get the pictures off my camera I will update them here!

Christmas at Olson's

Christmas morning we headed over to PaPa & MeMe's house for Christmas lunch and yet even more gifts!!! Madison cleaned house! She got a new backpack for school that has wheels so she can pull it down the hall!! This makes her feel like such a big girl. She got a wonderful Disney Princess tent to play in for her room as well as tons of arts and craft stuff and even more! She was clearly a very good little girl this year and I happen to agree!

Santa came early....

Christmas eve I took Madison to a candle light service at church then we headed home to open our Christmas gifts with her daddy and bake cookies for Santa! :) Santa came early to our house and brought her a very special "big girl" chair that is JUST her size as well as some toys and clothes. Gina & Trevor got her these adorable shoes in her favorite color!! She had no trouble learning to open gifts and was an angel at church!

Christmas at the Ivy's

Every year, Chip and I go to his mom's house to celebrate Christmas. Madison loves to go out there and play with the goats and of course see her Grandmommy & Granddaddy!!! This year, she must have been a very good little girl! Not only did she get great gifts - everyone was nice enough to let her help open their gifts too!!!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, Chip and I took Madison to the parade downtown. She had a great time and was so well behaved! We are going to have to do this every year! So worth it! Afterwards, we stopped by PawPaw & MawMaw's loft to show off how pretty we looked! We headed down to SugarLand to eat Thanksgiving dinner with PaPa & MeMe and after a long day, we changed into our pj's, ate WAY too much and took a LONG nap! Perfect holiday!

For Christmas, the IT guy at work and his wife (who's a clothes designer for children) gave me this outfit for Madison!!! So cute! I love it!

San Diego is doing WHAT!?!!?

Ok, so my love for the SD Chargers has only been about 2 years strong but it is strong. I do adore them just as all of you do for your teams. I spent most of last Saturday night tightly holding my breath while I watched LaDainian get injured fighting for the Wild Card slot against the Colts. Before that, it was a battle against Denver which we PROUDLY won regardless of Chip chanting in my ear!!
Granted, I like Sproles who no doubt saved/won the game against the Colts filling in for LT but for me, LT is the Chargers. I ADORE him and he is a super talent that I was proud to have on our team! I've just read that LT will no longer be a Charger. They are expecting him to be on the trading block this off season and possibly looking at the Patriots! Are you kidding me!?! Do the Patriots REALLY need any more talent!?!? Especially LT??? The Chargers are looking to make Seabiscuit Sproles the starter next year...guess we'll see what happens but it's a double-blow to me. I will continue to be a Charger's fan no matter what but this makes me very sad. One because I hate to lose LT but especially to lose him to the Patriots! Ugh - Puking!
