Every morning, Madison is very talkative and just loves to chat away, to anyone or anything that will listen...especially her BFF Jack :)

Chippy

When I was 12 weeks pregnant, Chip and I went on vacation to San Francisco. While there, one of our favorite things we did was watching the sea lions at the pier. We found a children's book at the pier called Chippy about a sea lion that had found his way back home to San Francisco. Clearly, with a name like that, we had to get the book and a stuffed sea lion for Maddie. Chip and I read a bedtime story to Madison every night. Last night, Daddy read her the story of Chippy :)

When we first found out I was pregnant with Maddie, Chip and I went out and got her this pink Adidas running suit that I have just been dying to put her in - it's still a little big but it fit well enough for some pictures and to make me laugh at just how cute she is!!!! Oh I just can't stand it - I could just eat her up! What would I have done with a boy???

Chip, Madison & I all had a wonderful Christmas! The best part was dressing up Madison and playing with all her new presents she got :)

8 Weeks

Maddie turned 8 weeks old on Christmas day. She just looks like a total different baby. She is just getting to be such a big girl and is more fun every day. I took these pictures of her and I just think she's too cute - of course, I'm her mom so I know I'm partial :)

Nap Time

Nap time is not one of Madison's favorite time - she would rather be held 24/7 but since that is not possible, I am attempting to get her sleeping in her own crib like the big girl she thinks she is :) As you can see, wide awake....we're still working on it! LOL On the other hand, she lives on the green Boppy pillow that her Aunt Courtney got her and she's perfectly fine sleeping on it, along with Jack :) Seems the new BFF's like taking naps together!!!

I'm A Big Girl Now

Growing up so fast! I can't believe she's 7 weeks already! She doesn't even look like the same little girl I brought home...ok, she was never really "little" but you get the idea :)

7 Weeks

Maddie will turn 7 weeks old tomorrow. I can't believe it. Time is flying by way, way too fast. I wish I could stay home with her forever. I about cried last night - it was the first time I had to put her in "big girl diapers" LOL. She can no longer wear the newborn size, she's in a size 1 now. I know to most of you, this may seem like I'm nuts but I just can't believe how big she's getting and how fast. January 22nd is when I go back to work and I'm dreading it. These have been the best 7 weeks of my life. It's funny, you never really understand why everyone goes so "ga, ga" over thier kids until you have one. They are the best! The older she gets, she's really starting to be even more fun which just makes it harder. By the time I go back to work, she'll be doing all kinds of new things that I'm so sorry I have to miss.
We didn't do much this past weekend...we went to my work's Christmas party on Friday night - Maddie stayed with my parents and we had a good time. It was good to see everyone again. The hotel was nice, it was the Crown Plaza downtown. The food was good and they had great gifts for give a ways, none of which we won of course but it was still fun. We will be going to have our annual Christmas dinner with Kirk & Denise this coming weekend - that should be fun as always. We are still hammering out the details on where to go as we always try something new. This will be our 5th year to do that as well - wow, we are getting old! LOL

Shadow Of The Day

When Madison was born, Chip found a song - just for her that he really loved. So, after listening to it a thousand times going back and forth to and from the hospital, he got his chance to play it for her on the way home. As soon as he pulled the car up to the front door of the hospital to pick us up, he put Maddie safely in her car seat, then in the car and had the song all ready to go for her to listen to. Now, I play her daddy's song every time we are in the car together so she'll never forget it. Chip took these pictures yesterday of the sunset and I thought they were cool and went well with her song he gave her which is "Shadow of the day" by Linkin Park. I think someone has already stole daddy's heart :)
