San Francisco or Bust!

Me, Chip and my parents all boarded a plane and headed west to San Francisco! We checked into the Hotel California (we felt the need to sing that song each time we entered and left the building by the way) and then we were off to see all San Francisco has to offer - and there is a lot! I've promised my parents that I would not post their pictures on the blog. Their exact words were "No P's on the B unless you want to be hurt"....SO, I will not be posting any pics of the rents but that's ok, we took enough otherwise to give you an idea. We went everywhere from the big house (hehehehe) to the forrest on Earth Day to hug some trees :) We had a fantastic time!

Highway Robbery!

Ok so more good news! We can't afford the baby! Ha! Just kidding - we can afford the baby we just can't afford anyone to watch the baby while we work! Fantastic! So the shock came today as I was "being a good mommy" and planning ahead for our little tykes future. I decided to look into childcare providers & daycares! Ha! What a joke! I'm not sure who can afford 700.00 to 900.00 a month but it's not Chip and I that's for sure! So...I'm looking for anyone who's not crazy, won't beat the baby and charges less then an arm & a leg :) If you know anyone - please let me know!

Princess Erinn's Birthday

Erinn had her b-day party on Saturday at BW3's in SugarLand - the food was SO good and it was nice to warm up to some "hot wings" on a cold day! Chip bought her new puppy Brodie this t-shirt - mainly to upset Mippy "aka Mitchell" but in the end, how could you be upset over something that cute!?!?! It's blue and has pink "prince" in sparkly letters on the back! Perfect since his mom is the ultimate princess :)

Splish! Splash!

(Singing) Workin' at the car wash - whoo whoo whoo yeah! Car wash! Workin' at the car wash! Ok so all of you missed it but I'm so glad I didn't! (still laughing uncontrollably) Chippers decided to wash the truck....while doing so, the water hose fell out of his hand, down on the ground which pinned the spray lever shooting water EVERYWHERE on Chip! Completely soaking him! I let him stand there and drip dry long enough to control my laughter to get the poor baby a towel...(yeah, still laughing really hard) anyway, he ended up doing a really good job! :D Him AND the truck both got baths!!!

Missing Jen-nay

Man she hates that :) When you make her name sound like Forrest Gump is saying it :) Anyway, she's in Florida right now visiting her parents and stopped by an animal rescue while down there. She had this picture on her blog and it made me miss her - this is exactly how I remember her...always helping animals (enough to move to Utah for it). I hope she finds a way back to Houston to visit soon! We miss you!

Bouncy Brodie

April 6th (Same day as Chip & I's anniversary) is my friend Erinn's birthday. I believe she might be turning some OLD age like 27 or something! Hahahaha! I miss being the baby :) Anyway, Mrs. Erinn wanted a puppy SO bad for her birthday. After months of begging her husband he finally caved!! Mitch came home with Brodie - I call him a Brussel Sprout :) Anyway, here he is...SO CUTE! This is her words: Hello to all...I would like to introduce you all to the new love of my life, and addition to our "furry" family! Mitchell, my parents, brothers and my sneaky friend Sarah all helped to make this very possible. This was a HUGE surprise for my birthday and I just adore him! He is a 3 month old Brussels Griffon, and we named him Brodie..and Brodie likes to Bounce! he is full of life and makes us smile. Well..here he is!

New Additions.....

After my last doctor's appointment, I had been informed that it was not good for me to wear heels while pregnant...Yeah, this posed a huge issue for me as I don't think any of you have ever seen me in flats :) Due to my challenging height, I almost ALWAYS wear something with a heel. In sheer frustration and panic I immediately called my parents to share the earth shattering news that not only will I be sick, fat, fashionably challenged as well as pasty white but now short on top of it. Seriously...could it get any worse!?!?! After a good chuckle at my expense my parents came up with the most fantastic solution I think :) They had the brilliant idea that "wedges" would elevate my height yet eliminate my heel issue. Why couldn't I have thought of that in all my drama?!?! To make it even better they got me these perfectly pretty Coach wedges that just so happen to match my perfect little purse :) Ahhhhhhhh...the world is at peace again!

Find Bailey

We have a rug in our living room that we have had for a while. Friday night, Bailey laid down on the rug when we noticed that our rug and Bailey, looked like they could have been family!!! :)

Spring on Winter Street

Most of you know that April 6th is Chip & I's 5 Year Wedding Anniversary! Since my husband bought me my beautiful ring I wanted to return the favor with something I knew he would love equally as much :) He's been dying for an art piece....so, we woke up and headed down to Winter Street downtown in the old rice warehouse district to find some great art and we did! There were tons of great paintings, pictures - anything you could want but this is the one that stole his heart! Happy Anniversary Baby!

Almost Famous....

We all want our 15 min. of fame right!?! Our little one is already on the way! These are our very first pics of the baby! You can't tell, but it's waving to the camera! Just kidding! Sort of looks like a bean - I've been assured it will be much cuter in the weeks to come :) As of now, the baby is 8 1/2 weeks and should be due October 31st....I know, EEEEK!!! but we might just hang on ONE more day :) We won't be able to tell the sex of the baby until 5 months so we have a wee bit more cooking to do before we can let that out. As of now, everything looks great and all is going as planned! Now, be nice and wave hi back!

St. Patrick's Day

For St. Patty's Day we started the day out with a little shopping then it was over to my parents house for a mini "Smith Side" family reunion. After saying our hellos to everyone we were off to see Kirk, Denise, Corey & Ellie for St. Patty's Day! Chip started the day off with green beer and jello shots :) We went out to this cool little bar off of I-10 & Mason Road then back to Kirk's house where the fun continued :)

University of Texas

Chip and I were out and about this weekend at the mall and saw these adorable little booties we just HAD to pick up! It was Chip's first baby purchase :) So cute! Anyway, Chip has already decided that he/she will be coming home in these from the hospital. It's an awful long way off to already be planning it's outfit home but they are cute so I have no objections! Not to mention, we are promoting college education :) You can never start too early!!! We are still a bit unsure on how we'll be paying for that education but we have 18 years to figure it out!

Pedicures are important!

Sunday morning it was off to the nail salon - I desperately needed them done! Toes are important to maintain when you are sick - it gives you something to look at while over the toilet :) Erinn was nice enough to keep me company and treat me to a pedicure! Everyone's fingers and toes turned out super cute!

Where's Jackie???

Ok, disregard the mess in my closet! As I said, I haven't been keeping up with the laundry :) Anyway, Friday morning as I was getting ready for work I couldn't find Jackie anywhere...I called him and looked around the house and still, no where to be found...I finally walked into our closet and found our Jackie "hiding" under our ottoman...it was just too cute to pass up a picture! Shhhhhhhhhh! Don't tell him that we can see him :)

Not much new...

Not much is new...still feeling ill and counting the days till I feel better :) I'm trying to keep up with all my daily activities and still maintain a cheerful attitude - Chip can verify that I'm failing horribly at both :) My first doctor's appt. is at the end of this month and I'm really looking forward to getting that done! I've received several cute baby gifts from my parents and Daniela (a friend from work) gave me this sweet giraffe and a book for me to read! I'm keeping in contact with Courtney (Chip's step-sister) as she's pregnant and several months ahead of me - she's my expert at the moment :) Chip and I aren't doing much these days. Just working and hanging out around the house a lot. I'm looking forward to being in a better mood again and feeling better :) I'm sure Chip can't wait either! If nothing else, If there was a "maybe" that we might do this again, I think I've probably ensured we won't :)

Special Baby - Special Pig :)

Not too long ago we announced that I am pregnant with our first baby. Recently I have discovered that this year is a special year according to the Chinese Zodiac. It’s not only the year of the Pig, it’s the Year of the Golden Pig. According to Chinese Foklore, this is an event that occurs once in every 600 years and will ensure that a baby born on this year will experience a prosperous and wealthy life. The legend is so popular, that Korea is expected to have a 10% increase in birth rate this year! See, our little one is already special! Golden Pig Special!!!

Baby's First Stuff

It didn't take long for us this weekend to realize that our little bundle of joy on the way is going to be SPOILED!!! We received all this great stuff for the baby this weekend - seems my parents just couldn't hold out any longer! They aren't excited or anything!! We got blankets, clothes, diapers, teddy bears...all the stuff to ensure our little one has plenty of soft things to hold on too and is perfectly dressed!

Bye Body!!!

Well after 1.5 years to get this size, I'm getting ready to see it all go away :) It's ok - it's for a good cause. So, bye body!!! This is me at a whopping 4 weeks :)

A Little One....

Believe it or not, Chip and I are going to be parents!!! That's right! We (well, me actually) are pregnant!!! I know, I know - we flipped out too!!! It's exciting and scary all at the same time! But, a new little Olson/Unerfusser is on the way and a huge new adventure for us! Parents! Us! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Poor baby!

Little Lady

The Knight family added a new addition this weekend...cute little lady a 10 week old Great Dane! Isn't she precious!?!!?

A Centerpiece

As most of you know, the island in our kitchen is the size of Texas - at least it feels that way! Although we LOVE it, we needed a centerpiece...so with the help of my mom and dad, we came up with this! The pictures make it look really strange :) In person it's really, really pretty.

Showin' The Love!!!

Chip is the sweetest!!! We don't even celebrate Valentine's Day and this morning I woke up to the cutest stuffed animal! It's a bear holding a heart that has XOXO on it! SO CUTE and so SOFT!!! I love it! It was a wonderful way to start my day!

Wee for Wii

For Valentine's Day Mitchell got a Wii...he returned the favor and got his wife a beautiful coach purse! They were kind enough to come over and let us play the Wii on Saturday night...after boxing, golf and even tennis...it's so addicting we managed to never let go of the "wiimote" :) So of course, Erinn and I got all comfy in our PINK gear and proceeded to kick the boys butts...as usual! At least they gave it a good try :D

The Bathroom

We finally got a new camera (yeah!!!) so I'm able to update our blog again! I know, your all thrilled! This is what we've done with our bathroom so far! Looking around the house as I type now to see what else we can change!!

All Grown Up!

He did it! He made it to 30!!! Kirk turned the big 3-0 on Friday and we were all there to help him celebrate with great margaritas and food! Another one bites the dust :)
