The Center

There is an amazing place in Houston - The Center for Mental Retardation and PwC picked there as our place to do our community service day. Lucky for me, I'm friends with the head lady heading up the event and work for the BIG boss (the lady to my right) so while the others were slaving away in our 104* heat, I was inside, stuffing fruit cakes :) PwC had more than 150 volunteers show up that day and we had so much fun!

Ah, another precious moment! We are at PF Chang's enjoying dinner - here Madison is showing off her mad chopstick skills and of course, being silly - a trait that is her father's of course! :)

New Steps Forward....

If you have talked to me at all in the past 4 years then I'm almost positive you have heard me complain about Madison's daycare! The list is so long that I just don't even care to get into all the details! Besides, as I said before, I'm sure most of you have already heard it! Today was her first day at her new school. I don't know who was more excited - me or her!

She has also grown a lot as a little person the past few weeks - Chip and I couldn't be more impressed or proud of her! For a little reward we got her a few new decorating items for her big girl room - she picked them out - some pink zebra sheets, a few fury pillows and a super bright shag rug....yes, she's 100% my daughter! :)

She also got a new backpack and shoes for school! Again, notice that they are PINK Nike's!?!? This little nut didn't fall far from the tree :)

Madion's social schedule is packed these days - more than her father and I's combined :) I enjoy watching her with her friends and am grateful that she's made some in the neighborhood. Here she is at the pool with our neighbor boys & girls.

We are getting there :) Hopefully we will finally be able to swim soon!!!

4th of July

For the 4th we had a neighborhood block party. We invited some of Madison's friends from school to come down and hang out. They had fun - then we projected a movie onto the garage for the kids to watch and finished off the evening with some seriously illegal sparklers :) Oooooh :)

We live!!!

Wow - I don't even know how long it's been since I updated the blog! Mainly because all my log on information was from when I worked at Questia! More than 4 years ago!!! LOL I guess I just want to do my best to forget the past 3 years with my last employer :) It's for the best....So, there is so much to update you on! Let's start with the obvious, I am now "happily" employed with the most amazing company, PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers). I have been here since February of this year and I know what you are thinking...an accounting firm. Yes, I Sarah, work at an accounting firm. I'll give you a moment to chuck to yourself....
Moving on - We are also in the process of trying to sell our house. Our neighborhood has turned out not to be where we want to end up and we are looking to move closer to my family. Again, I will give you another moment to act surprised at that news :) For the most part, Madison is great. She is great and let's just say, we are never bored. We are also fully responsible for the strong-willed, independent, charming, flirty, beautiful little girl she is turning into. I guess some things really just are in your DNA. Right now, I'm trying to enjoy every moment I can with her. It's going by at lightening speed and I can't believe she's already 3 1/2. I just know I'm going to blink and tomorrow she will be 14 and my worst nightmare :) Again, she is Chip and I's daughter so I know we really only have ourselves to blame. Now that I can sign in, I promise to keep the updates comin'!

I have to tell you, I'm just down right lucky when it comes to my friends. I have the BEST girl friends anyone could ask for. Regardless of how long it's been since we hung out together or talked, when I need them or need someone to pick me up, or make me feel better, they are always there. Jen & Kristy are a perfect example! Even though I didn't get to see them in Austin over Thanksgiving, Jen and Kristy made sure to send Miss Maddie and I a little note, just to show they cared....or it could of been to rub it in but I choose to see the best in them! LOL :)

Pinch Me

Someone pinch me!!!! I don't think since my RX-7 have I truly been more gitty about a car then my new one! All my cars have been fine but up until this one, I haven't wanted to set up a sleeping bag and just camp out in it! This too-cute little thing has options on it that will take me weeks to find! I think it speaks for itself and that it's just sooooo "Sarah"!
