Under The Big Top!

I have to tell you - I had so much fun with Madison on Saturday! We got to take her to the circus for the very first time! Our seats were incredible! We were about 10 rows back from the ring! It was so worth it! I've never seen her eyes so big and she was SO excited to see and wave to all the animals! We had Lemonade, snow cones, cotton candy, you name it! Her fave was the elephants although I think Chip and I liked the Tigers and the men on motorcycles in the round cage the best! Unfortunately, the pictures did not turn out great so I don't really have any to post! It was SO much fun and I loved seeing Madison all lit up!

Washin' The Rides

Madison watches Chip wash his car and me have mine washed all the time :) What? Your surprised I don't wash my own car in 110* heat?!?! LOL So, we decided to wash Maddie's ride - her wagon - turned into a HUGE family water fight!!! By the end of it, we were all soaking wet but it was SO much fun!

Chip and I finally got Madison on her bike seat! It only took 6 months and we are still working on wearing the helmet but it's a start! Chip and I took turns riding back and forth in front of our house - she had fun!

Ok, this KILLS Chip! He HATES! HATES! HATES! that I have Madison hooked on having her toes and nails painted :) Apparently, she and I are the only ones who think it's FABULOUS!

YMCA!!!

So Maddie is taking swim lessons at the YMCA. This is a site to see for sure! It's so funny! It's chaos - little people flipping, splashing and going everywhere! Everyone has the attention span of a flea and all they want to do is scream and jump off things. I would know - Everyone was patiently waiting on the wall to get in the water on the first day but not Madison - nope - she plunged right in. We got called out by Miss Heather the instructor and were forced to sit back on the wall and wait our turn with everyone else. Things get better each time so hopefully by the end of this, we will have actually learned something :)

Celebrate!

This past weekend was very busy but very fun! We were celebrating the 4th, my parents anniversary and my mom's birthday!

To celebrate, we went to Kemah where Madison road the airplane (getting her off of this thing was a challenge! So was waiting in line for our turn!) and the carousel (the hole time - she had a kung fu grip on the bar and was screaming "weeeeeeeeeeeee" in sort of a nervous manner!) Not sure she really loved it but after like the 5th time with PaPa, all seemed to be well :) We played at the splash pad AND we rode The Beast - this was my mother's idea which was probably the most fun I've had in a long, long time. However, it is a speed boat and we were all sitting in the perfect location to be completely drenched! My sister has those pretty photos after we got off which I will have to post later!!! Then we watched the fireworks downtown and took a trip out to the outlet mall for some b-day shopping for my mom whom got her very own coach purse :) Now she has a baby :) It's even all decked out with scarfs! I love it! I hope everyone has as great of a weekend as we did!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July!! I hope everyone enjoys the weekend! This was Madison this morning feeling like a little firecracker and all dressed up in her 4th of July dress!

Really!?! Is this what we have become!?!

Time to vent! I'm am sick to death of our government and people in politics! The latest proof is the S.C. Governor whom I wish would just shut up! Every second this man speaks, he continues to lie and get himself in even more trouble! Mark Sanford has now fessed up to 20 inappropriate acts as a married man and is now calling his mistress in Argentina his soul mate all while trying to work things out with his wife! Are they crazy! Why would you want to be with a man who confess to all that and says someone else is his soul mate but what? You'll do? I don't think so! AND to top it off, he says that the trip to Argentina in which he had his fling that he paid for with government dollars (he did end up paying it back after he was busted - what a stand up guy!) has had no impact on his job or how well he does it......(crickets). Is he joking? Please, someone tell me he's kidding! He's in a position of power, he should be held to a higher standard (as should our Presidents, etc)! Not that I think being faithful to your wife is a high standard - I think it's a given! It impacts everything! I'm SO proud that we have people like this representing us and what we stand for!

I think this contest is hilarious and every year, it just gets funnier to me. Normally, a Chinese Crusted is always the winner but for 2009 they went with a 4 year old boxer mix named Pabst. Congratulations! He's this year's winner of the Ugliest Dog Contest!

This weekend, Madison had her very first play date with Eve and mommy got to catch up with an old friend Felicia!! We had such a good time as did the girls! Felicia's house is amazing and she was the perfect host! The girls were sharing/feeding each other lunch, played Up! Down! and even had time to take care of the "babies". Felicia caught this shot of Madison playing with my shoes....Eve was napping like a good girl :) I can't wait to do it again!

Baba Yega's

Thank you to everyone who made it out to girls day at Baba Yega's! It was fun to have our mom's there (they are always welcome!!!) and to see old friends and meet some new ones! Although it was hot, the food was great and the company even better! I hope to see you all again in August!

Everything Madison does is cute to Chip and I but we think her latest thing, is especially cute!! Before running down the hall to tuck herself in for the night, she gives daddy hugs and kisses good night and says "night night" then gives the pictures of her grandparents kisses too!

Happy Father's Day

As are most of our holiday's, we were very busy this Father's Day! We celebrated with Chip's dad at El Patio downtown on Saturday and had so much fun! Both Chip's sisters were able to make it out along with his niece and the kids were so cute playing together!! Sunday we took Chip to brunch at a restaurant he's been dying to try called Brisa. He loved it! My parents were able to join us for a double Father's Day celebration!! We went to my parents pool that afternoon and met up with my sister and her family and enjoyed really good burgers that Chip cooked for us!! All in all, it was a family packed weekend and Chip and I wouldn't want it any other way!!!

I have the BEST hubby in the world! For my birthday, he bought me a "girls trip" to VEGAS!!! I'm am SO excited! I have 12 weeks until I get to spend blissful (baby free - no offense Maddie!) days with my girls getting pampered, hitting the hot night spots and gambling! My birthday is in September but this was an awesome early gift!!! Viva Las Vegas!!!

Here is more proof! Madison and her Jack (a.k.a Bubba) are inseparable! I'm sure this is mostly more of Maddie's preference over Jack but he's a good boy and takes it! This weekend, I was busy cleaning the house when I walked around the corner to this! Excuse the laundry in the background! As I said, I was cleaning!! LOL
