Going Green :)

So, Chip and I wanted to help out with Earth Day and going Green :) LOL PLUS, our yard is in need of some SERIOUS help in the landscaping department!!! So, say hello to our new tree :) It's a Shumard Oak and if you "ignore" all the background it's lovely :) Ahhhhhh!!!!

Happy! Happy! Anniversary!

Yep - we did it! We made it another year! We've now been married 8 (Yes, I said 8) YEARS today!!! SO, after 11 YEARS with my honey, I still love him and like him A LOT! Happy Anniversary Chippers!

Happy Easter!

I love Easter! I think it's the weather - and I like getting Madison all dressed up like a doll and watching her hunt for eggs! This was her basket from mommy & daddy this year - can't believe I found a Mickey Mouse Easter doll! She's gonna squeal!

I get asked all the time what is my favorite thing that Madison does....really!?!? Ummm everything! LOL I don't think I could just pick 1 thing about her. I know EVERY parent must feel this way! You become obsessed sort of with them. There is just so many things about them and I feel like I miss so many being at work that I just want to soak up every ounce of her when I'm around!

I've been dieting for the past few months (years - whatever) and I'm down about 13 lbs! Woo hoo! BIG accomplishment for me. I won't dwell on the fact that I have 40 more to go - baby steps! Anyway, I love, love, love Smoothie King and this day, Maddie and I were together she decided she wanted to try one with mommy! So cute! She actually liked it! She kept insisting it was strawberry ice cream!

So, for now, in that very moment, that was probably my favorite thing about her - when she tries to act all big and grown up and be like her mom :) Warm fuzzies!

How do all her OUTSIDE toys seem to end up INSIDE!?! I can't wait for the weather to stay nice so they can all go back OUTSIDE where they belong!

After a weekend of hard work, why let them rest!?!? I had Chip working to the point of exhaustion in our back yard and really, he's not done yet :) Since we started "fixing" things up back there with the garden - why not have him build a gazebo for the patio as well!?!? I mean really, is there NOTHING he can't do!?!? LOL

Such a good guy - anything for his girls...and we ask for A LOT! Ahhhh, relaxing in the SHADE while poor Chippers slaves away in the hot sun! I mean it wasn't like I was asking him to do it in JUNE when it's 100 outside - just a mere 85! :D

Green Thumb....We'll See :)

So Chip had a wonderful idea! For us to start a garden and let Maddie help it grow! I LOVED the idea - mainly because I hardly had to do any of the work!!! LOL Chip built us a beautiful box and filled it with the proper soil. Then we went to pick our stuff!!! Jalapenos, Peppers, Tomatoes, Basil, Parsley, Red Onions...The whole enchilada!

Madison takes Dance class on Friday mornings (Not ballet but all types of dance) and Gymnastics on Saturday mornings. Here she is all dressed for Gymnastics :) Soooo cute!

Layla Grace 11/26/2007 - 3/9/2010

I used to work with Ryan at Questia. I won't go on into too much detail because I just can't type, think or talk about this without breaking down. I don't even know how he and his family are strong enough to survive this. I just know they are in my family's thought and prayers.

Ryan's daughter, Layla Grace passed away from Neuroblastoma. Please check out the blog they did for her and learn about her, Ryan and his family's journey.

Chip and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day BUT Meme & PaPa do!!! Guess who their Valentine was!?!? Yep, what a shocker - Maddie :) They got her this little scooter thing...hard to explain. Anyway, she loves it and now we are all racing each other around the house in all her little rides!! Maddie normally gets the little Jeep, Chip takes this thing which generally makes me stuck with the inch worm thing which never really works out well for me! SO, here is Maddie being nice and letting her old mom ride along with her :) Thanks baby!!! xoxoxox
