Our First Cake

Here is Maddie and I baking our first cake together for Daddy! She was such a big help although she didn't really like the hand mixer!

Tiny Dancer

Yep - I did it! I enrolled Madison in dance class! I'm not sure who was more excited me or her but she did amazing!! The teacher said she couldn't believe that she's only 2 (almost...) and that she did everything the other kids were doing and was a very fast learner and very excited to do it all!!! So, now every Friday morning, she has dance class! I think I should get her a leotard and tutu...Chip says I'll be scaring her for life! LOL...more to come on who wins that battle! Pretty sure it's gonna be ME as he does not dress her for class :D

Yep - Maddie's daddy gave her a sucker and she came in looking as if she had just devoured a smurf! Lucky for us (and her!) it came off later that night in the bath tub! Ahhhh such great blackmail pictures :D

Madison and I love the princess chair :) She loves to watch her cartoons and eat breakfast on it...and I get to clean it up when she's done!

The Zoo

Chip and I are trying to enjoy our membership to the Zoo while the weather is somewhat cooler :) We went right as they opened and it was perfect timing! There were no crowds, prime parking, cool weather and all the little animals were just waking up! PLUS we got to test out our new camera - Maddie destroyed our last one :) SAY CHEESE!!!

I can't stress enough how much this week at work has been hell. I don't even really want to get started because I know once I do, I won't be able to stop. I haven't been this upset in a really, really long time!!! A friend, knowing how this week has been sent me a quote that is just oh so perfect!!!

Most of you know by now that I am welcoming EVERYONE I know to join me and hopefully a bunch of friends (boys, girls, kids...anyone!!!) on October 3rd for the Susan G. Komen Race For a Cure at Sam Houston Park Downtown! It's for a great cause!! I just got my race packet in the mail yesterday with my # so I'm all fired up! If I can do this - anyone can!!! My Birthday

My birthday was so much fun - not to mention my family started celebrating last weeked so it's been like a week long event! How loved am I!?!? LOL

My hunnies got me flowers, cooked me dinner and took care of my baby so I could watch a show and eat without inturruption! How sweet is he!!!!

All my friends sent me well wishes, sweet cards, gifts, flowers - totally spoiled!

Thank you all for an amazing day! You make growing old FUN!

New Fan :)

I really never had any interest in the whole Twilight saga. I didn't really get it and I never really thought about it - sort of like the whole Harry Potter thing. I'm sure it's great - just not my thing! If not for Chip renting it for me the other night as my "chick flick" I never would of even picked it up. I got the chance to watch it last night and although I'm not obsessed I have to admit, I am a fan! I really liked it. I'm even looking forward to seeing the others now!

Thank You HEB!!!

Every Sunday, I pack up Madison and we go to the grocery store. Not just any store, HEB. Now, for those of you who do not live in my area, going to HEB is an experience by itself. It has to be the most stressful grocery store on the planet. It doesn't matter what day or time you go, it's going to be an event. NOW, partner that with a toddler - yeah things are bound to get nasty! For those of you who have not had the pleasure of taking a 2 yr old to the grocery store, then you are lucky! We do this EVERY Sunday :) However! HEB must realize the stress they put us through each week because there is 1 saving grace!!! There is the "kids market" when you first enter. To the average person who whizzes by, this means nothing but to mom's like me - this is the BEST thing ever invented! See, you have to place a quarter in the cute little pig and for each quarter, you get to pick one item (bananas, apples, oranges, raisins, you get the idea...) for your child to keep their hands and mouth busy while you shop! AMEN! SO, every Sunday, Maddie and I stop and we put in a $1.25, grab a balloon and pick out numerous items!!! Who knew I'd be so excited over a pig and fruit!
